Decide to come here after a visit to Stonehenge so glad we did the sandwiches were nearly as big as the Sarsen stones at the henge. Friendly service and tasty filling to sandwich

We popped in here for a coffee while avoiding the traffic on the A303 at Stonehenge. So glad we did - really tasty food and excellent staff - helped me choose a wheat and dairy free option and were really friendly and chatty. Nice atmosphere inside too.

Yes! I’m a fan LOCATION: Score 4 The Green Tree Cafe & Deli located in the Larkhill Garrison Town, Amesbury is barely noticeable when passing by but well worth a visit for a breakfast or lunch. OPENING: Score 4 Open Monday to Friday the Café offers a great walk-in and telephone menu for both eating in and take away. ATMOSPHERE: Score 5 When I entered the Café, there was a warm greeting, the atmosphere was very energetic and family friendly. DÉCOR/FACILITIES: Score 4 Although the presentation of the café could be updated the facilities on offer allow for a relaxed experience, especially for those with young families. Ample seating both inside and out, Small Kids seating and play area inside and baby changing facilities are just a handful of helpful extras I noticed. It is unfortunate that my phone signal (Vodaphone) was weak at best, the offer of free Wi-Fi negated that issue and if anything allowed me to eat in peace. MENU: Score 4 The presentation of the food and menu is basic and needs to be refined, but the food on offer is not to be sniffed at, these are just some of the options available at this time. Breakfast: Cooked Breakfast / Breakfast Sandwiches / Breakfast Baguettes Lunch: Doorstop Sandwiches / Baguettes / panini / Jacket Potatoes / Soups and Salads Today I chose the Jacket potato filled with chilli and Wow, quickly prepared, presented well and tasted great. What more could I ask for...? Well it gets better; The Green Tree Cafe & Deli offer a selection of Hot and Cold drinks and if that’s not enough a range of award winning cakes. That’s right the Green Tree Cafe & Deli hold the title of Winner of the Great Amesbury Bake-off 2018 in the category: Tea Time Favourites for their Tunisian Orange Cake. CLEANLINESS: Score 5 The Green Tree Cafe currently holds a 5 Star Food hygiene rating and its clear they are worthy of this rating. The only improvement I would love to see is the installation of a hand dryer rather than paper towels for the WC. SERVICE/PAYMENT: Score 5 The staff were friendly and made me feel comfortable. The process of payment was easy as they accept both cash and card. RECOMMENDATION: I highly recommend The Green Tree Cafe & Deli as a great place for everyone to relax and fill their stomachs. Thank you for a great lunchtime experience and i look forward to visiting again to try a slice of cake..or two!

Excellent portions. Door stop butties are amazing. Tomato and jalapeño soup is a defo for a try. Sometimes there's a wait nut only because it's so good and popular with.

Amazing cake & amazing staff. Got stuck in a jam on A303 for an hour and stumbled upon this cafe while trying to find a quicker route. Not only got great directions to bypass the hold up but got a printed map to boot! Lemon drizzle cake highly recommended.
