Love this pub. You can go out to villages and pop into a pub and have an over priced beer with gastro pub pretence. Or you can come to the eagle a very welcoming old school village pub. Good food and good character.

We were invited to join a friend for Sunday lunch, hadn't been before. Pub looks a bit unprepossessing on first impressions, but the staff were friendly and our roast meal was delicious, as was dessert. Reasonably priced and we will definitely return! 😊

Sunday lunch was good value and all those in our party felt all roast meats were melt in the mouth. Only two negatives a) two of our party had to interrupt their meal three times so that people could access other tables or the door. B) no deserts!!!

Great place for a local pint and a game of darts or pool. The bookable skittles alley makes a great addition for parties and events.

Nice village local, good selection of well kept ales. Currently we are at their annual beer festival for the first time in a few years (for obvious reasons) - brilliant as ever......

This is a proper old boozer. Old fashioned in its decor but I like that. The service is always quick and staff are friendly. Nice outside seating area too. The menu has something for everyone and the food I had was quick and really lovely. The menu is well priced too. Lovely village pub

We popped in from the street seeing that it was a typical English proper pub, we were made so very welcome by Lorraine, we felt at home, the locals were engaging, the drinks delicious and a fair price, there was good banter and we stayed much longer that we planned to. We are looking forward to going there again soon. Wish there were more of these pubs about. As a retired publican l recognise a good pub when l frequent it. Dame Sally-Ann Hayes DTJ DOTJ

Friendly local pub in the heart of the village offering great food and relaxed atmosphere. Dog and child friendly with garden and outdoor seating. Shows sports on TV, has a pool table, darts board and juke box!
