Stayed at the B&B absolutely loved it, would go so far as to say it's one of my favourite stays ever from our many trips to the highlands. The meal at the Boathouse was also excellent. Shame we only stayed for one night. Will definitely be back!
Wow... idyllic setting, warm welcome, stunning views, delicious breakfast. Can’t wait for the opportunity to go back, thank you!
Absolutely amazing food, superb hospitality. Such welcoming hosts.
Pete you have it nailed!!
The flavours in the food were amazing.
Click & collect was amazing; restaurant quality at home.
Dinner was again superb. Scallops & mussels for starters and monkfish & smoked haddock for mains. Followed by Jan's amazing truffles. Amazing!
Perfect addition to the estate.
Just had a Sunday Lunch at the boathouse and everything was fantastic. We had Tomatoe, beetroot, celery and marrow soup. Followed by Hogget and seasonal vegetables and to finish off a Apple & Pear crumble with thick custard and ice cream.
All food is locally sourced and the vegetables and fruit from their own walled garden.
The food cooked and presented to perfection and served with a smile.
Very good prices considering the quality of the food and service.
Very Dog Friendly with Willow getting some Lamb.
We ate at The Boathouse four times whilst staying on Kingairloch. Food produced by Pete the chef was superb on every level. Probably the best we have had anywhere. We wish you every success with the venture. This restaurant is well worth travelling to; you will not be disappointed. We will be back from Norfolk next year. Thank you. Nick Angelika and Clare
So good we went twice in a week. Really fresh local ingredients resulting in fabulous plates of food; and very welcoming. A brilliant setting and even better if staying on the Kingairloch Estate as you can walk home.
Just had a delicious impromptu lunch at this beautiful little restaurant. First class food from excellent local produce (the bisque is fabulously indulgent!) all delivered with attentive but unobtrusive service. Peter, the proprietor, was very friendly and knowledgeable.
Overall a great addition to the area. We'll def be back!
We had lunch here today , a perfect setting with glorious weather. The food was beautifully cooked and delicious. The service was efficient, professional and friendly. Whilst the wine list is not huge the choices are very good and eclectic. We could not recommend it more highly and Pete and Amy are welcoming hosts. Take the time to visit the Boathouse and you will not be disappointed.
We had a lovely meal with a fantastic, friendly service. The atmosphere is great and the food is outstanding. The seafood was to die for with lots of choice! It’s great to have somewhere local that is going to open for certain events/evenings throughout the winter too. Would 100% recommend!
We had a celebratory lunch at the Boathouse, the hospitality, atmosphere and attention to detail were superb. Even though I am Gluten free, my choice from the menu was extensive, and it was so refreshing not to feel I was being awkward with my diet. Our food was beautifully presented and tasted great. A wonderful little restaurant, well worth the detour off the main road.
A wonderful experience! We loved the food, the setting, and the friendly informal atmosphere. We shared a superb lobster and Mull cheddar souffle and both enjoyed a delicious monkfish dish. The sweets were equally memorable. The hosts made us really welcome and even provided water and cooked lamb for our dogs. This lunch was a real highlight of our holiday and the setting at Kingairloch is idyllic.
Five of us went for dinner at the Boathouse. The restaurant was full and the service was spot on with both our waitress and the chef able to spend time with their guests which made the whole evening a bit more special. The menu is varied and the food excellent, plus some good wines to complement each course.
I am booking again and looking forward to sharing dinner with more friends at the Boathouse.
