One of the best roasts I’ve ever had!
Lamb roast was top notch, and the pork and beef were also delicious.
Olives were big and juicy, even desert dishes were perfect.

Outstanding burger and booked immediately for the unbelievable Sunday lunch. A community run pub with renown chef Mark in the kitchen and his wife front of house. A hidden gem with a lovely 25 min walk to the banks of the Severn.

It was long time since I was so impressed with pub food. I had pork belly and my wife sausage and mash. They were both amazing! Being the only pub in the village it was full of people but the service was spot on! Totally recommended!

The Red Lion serves excellent food with friendly staff. Sunday lunch is one of the best we have for a long time. We also had an evening meal which was also very good. Highly recommended

Stayed at one of the local camp sites for a couple of days so the Lion was certainly going to be a place to visit. Well, the other reviews were certainly spot on.
Hospitality - Awesome, felt welcomed and comfortable at all times.
Food - Whilst marginally more expensive than most pubs, you pay for what you get. The food was simply amazing!
Ales - Decent selection of draught ales.
A community owned pub that everyone should be proud of.
Will visit again if in the area.

Lovely place, very friendly staff and food is delicious. We visited on a Subday lunchtime. We had Crispy curried cod cheeks and Crispy Squid with the most amazing passionfruit and chilli sauce for starters. Lamb and beef roast and veggie roasts. Highly recommend. Not too much variety for Veggies though. One main, but you need to state you are a veggie if eating this as it comes with meat gravy and meat in the cabbage... and one veggie starter. Fine if you love seafood as lots of options. Highly recommend. Nice selection of beer and wine too. Would recommend booking so not to be disappointed as its a lovely busy pub!

We stayed two nights for my sons wedding.we had a very nice room and it was well equipped, just what we wanted All staff were very helpful and friendly.The reception food was very good.Wish we lived nearer, would love it to be our local.THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT A MEMORABLE EVENING. Such a friendly pub. The bar staff could not be friendlier or do enough for you. The food was fantastic, especially the marmalade icecream 🍦 😋.

First time visiting this pub tonight with 2 dogs, beautiful pub in a quiet village, had ribeye steak and lamb they were cooked perfectly, can tell ingredients are high quality. Great staff at the bar also, thanks👍

Nice community pub,had food and drinks both were good.Plenty of tables but sat us right next to someone else even though nearly every other table was empty. Service dropped of after the food arrived. Seems to be a pub charging restaurant prices.

We visited the Red Lion the day after our wedding for a Sunday Lunch.
As we were a big group of 24 we emailed in advance, Sally was extremely responsive and discussed menu choices and answered any questions to make the whole process as smooth as possible.
On the day everything was organised, the pub had such a lovely atmosphere and the food was superb with great flavours and portion sizes.
I think between us all we tried everything on the Sunday Lunch menu and everyone loved their meals.
It was the perfect way to carry on the wedding celebrations, and some of our family members have already visited again since!

Absolutely fabulous . We were camping at West End Farm (which is also a fabulous campsite btw)... booked in for dinner at the red lion Friday night. Food was fabulous. Nice choice of beers and wine but it was the welcome and friendliness that was outstanding. Really enjoyable evening. On Saturday went for riverside walk and ended up back at the red lion. Despite being a bit late, we had lunch and drinks and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for a fabulous weekend

First visit,and certainly not the last..from the minute i/we walked in it was a fantastic experience. The greeting from the wonderful lady/manager was warm and genuine...the pub is immaculately clean..the menu is small,cooked from fresh, local and changed every other day..but although small is beautifully balanced.
The standard of the food and presentation is superb 👌 I have an allergy,and this was checked and confirmed by the manager..The service was wonderful..as a retired chef...I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long time....and to top it all the toilets were also immaculate!!! Booking advised...thank you Red Lion...see you very soon

The food and service at this pub is amazing. We visited a few times whilst staying in Arlingham. We had the Ribeye steak one night, it melted in our mouths, the meal/service and presentation was exceptional, so was the Sunday lunch, we had the green soup with the egg in(can't remember the name of it) for our starter, the meals were full on flavour and cooked to perfection, thank you to your chef, he is a credit to the pub. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly. Thank you 😊 we highly recommend this beautiful pub 😊

Very friendly and warm wecome, we were passing tourists who were recommended this establishment and so glad we took their advice. Clean and tidy, covid friendly with no problems regarding social distancing even though the England game was on. We ate in the farden which was again nice and tidy, the food even though it was a sharing platter was very nice & not over priced was well presented & tasty. Nothing was a problem at all & certainly would recommend dropping in if you are that way.
The amenities were as the pub too clean and tidy.. enough said
