My wife and I rated our dinner as the best we've had in a long time anywhere. The starter of salt and chilli squid for two was lovely, perfectly cooked squid. I had superb duck breast with duck leg and liver sausage, the lady had pan fried chicken breast with fondant potato and wilted spinach. She said it was beautiful. Then we had sponge with raspberry jam and coconut and home made custard between us, which was lovely. A nice bottle of red and coffee to finish, good service and a relaxed atmosphere. Just spent a wonderful 2 hours with a group of great friends for christmas lunch. The restaurant was very welcoming with a roaring fire; the tables set out with crackers and candy canes. A few of us availed of bringing our own wine as there is no alcohol licence (but a plus as no corkage charge). The food was plentiful and tasty, and excellent value at only £14.95 for 3 courses, with complimentary tea/coffee, and mints brought down with the bill. I have been here on 3 other occasions this year, and would thoroughly recommend it.
Myself and three family members had a truly delicious meal in Castle Tower Restaurant last week. We booked early in the evening and were able to choose from the Early Bird menu - before 6.30 pm. We were impressed with the wide selection & choices of starters, as well as main courses. The cozy setting, along with the high standard of presentation, taste and service, all added to our family meal out. I would definitely recommend a visit.
Late afternoon Sunday Lunch. Great little restaurant, super fast service, ordered our drinks and they appeared almost instantly. Food was superb, perfect Sunday roast preceded by a delicious bowl of soup and the best wheaten I have tasted.
Very pleasant dining experience. Nice menu, beautifully presented. Early bird menu is well worth taking, and gets you in to the theatre or cinema in good time
The food here is delicious.not huge portions but enough and very tasty.i ordered the pan fried cod on Asian style vegetables and a mango and ginger cheesecake for desert which was lovely.the staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially when helping my mother who is in a wheelchair.
Small family run Good value good food freshly cooked for you !!! Not a huge menu so can be sure of consistent standard pleasant staff. Can take own wine. Go there !!!
I dine here frequently as the food is excellent and the price right. The staff are very friendly. As someone else said this is a hidden gem. I feel more people need to know about it.
Had a superb meal here with my almost 8 year old granddaughters, the service was second to none and the girls were treated as adults which delighted them!! Highly recommended!
