Exceptional yet again. We can not recommend this place highly enough. William and the team never fail to deliver, the food is exceptional and the service is top class. Well done all, we had another great night.
Finally got to try the China Palace. We really enjoyed it. All tastes catered for as were food allergies. Hubby had a cooked from scratch lamb dish with a dry rub which was off menu - he thoroughly enjoyed it. Food was delicious and varied and we were allowed to mix dishes too. The Staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended - don't forget to book in advance as they fill up fast.
What a superb Chinese restuarant ! Ate there Friday lunchtime and had the place virtually to ourselves although there was a constant stream of people collecting take aways.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was out of this world. Chicken satay and spare ribs as starters followed with sweet n sour chicken balls with egg fried rice. I kid you not the very best Chinese I've tasted in many a year.
Highly recommended.
Lovely traditional restaurant. Meals arrived at our table hot and a small heater was placed in the middle to keep the food warm. Each dish tasted fresh and we each said that it was the best Chinese we have had. They are open for lunch and dinner, which is great as the Chinese restaurants where we live tend to only open in the evening. Will definitely return!
Just amazing. Consistently good every time. Fresh tasting, quick service. The duck is especially nice
We have set menu B for 2 people(25.00 per head)
Best Chinese food I've tasted in the UK so far! Great atmosphere and amazing service! Would highly recommend!
Thank you so much for the tasty meal and wonderful experience!
Service is excellent, food is great. High chair available for children and plenty of space. You need to call to book - wish they had online booking. Will go again!
2nd visit here and William and his team couldn’t have looked after us better. Great table, lovely wine and fantastic food and the way William personally ensured my sister who’s Gluten intolerant had a specific meal made just for her was so very appreciated - will be back again and would so so recommend
I love this restaurant, yes it's pricey but normally the food is on point. I think we went on a off day.. I ordered the battered squid with sweet n sour sauce.. didn't receive the sauce and the batter and squid was not very nice. ALL the rest of the food was utterly devine. The waiter spilled not one but two drinks because he was very busy and in a rush and it happened to the same guest each time. I will go back but it was a little frustrating the few things that did happen.
The food as usual was delicious if a bit pricey
But the service wasn't particularly friendly, our waiter looked like he wanted to be anywhere except at work. A smile from him would have been nice
An incredibly succulent Chinese meal. The food was some of the best Chinese I had purchased in time. At a price point of 16.70 for a two course lunch, we were heavily satisfied.
The decor was en pointe (Chinese), beautiful and authentic, including the junk boat sails, large tiger dragon and the stencilled acrylic dragon light. It was a scenic setting for such a brilliant meal, especially when one takes into account the 300 year old Italian wooden carved ceiling, fantastique!
Our waiter was outstandingly courteous and knowledgeable about his fine eatery. He prepared us for a fine meal through his eloquent explanation of the establishment, which put us at ease as we were taken on a journey through his asian routes through both the extraordinary food and his whitty anecdotes.
The palace was Chinese.
The food was Chinese.
The ceiling was Italian.
Absolutely love coming here for dinner. Great place and atmosphere if just a couple or even a bigger party
