This place has great food & great service. The staff are delightful, friendly & helpful. You will not be disappointed by the food. The burgers are amazing, the choice is substantial and everything is done with a smile. There is both an indoor & outdoor dining area with the outdoors under heated marquee, as well as a garden. Highly recommended.

Sunday lunch was excellent. One of the best pub lunches i have had for a long while. Staff were friendly and efficient. Pub was busy so would recommend booking in advance. Car parking is limited but roadside parking is available.

Stopped here for some lunch and to get out the rain! Small car park, but we did get a space even though it was busy inside. Nice classic style pub with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Dog friendly too. The menu had a huge selection, but we went for 2 types of ploughman's, both of which were very tasty (although a proper container for the condiments would be better). Glad we came here.

A lovely pub with great service and food. A lovely atmosphere is created and we were served quickly. The menu is full and varied. Meals were plentiful and delicious. Would highly recommend a visit but you nerd to book.

I took my mother to this pub recently and we both agreed it was great. When I asked about accessibility the person on the phone was very helpful and offered to reserve a convenient parking space. The pub itself is very nice inside, well presented and has a good ambience. The service was first class, friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. The menu featured several tempting offerings; we both settled for sea bass, which was perfectly cooked. If I want to be picky the broccoli & cauli were a bit on the soft side for me, but that's personal preference and it didn't spoil my enjoyment. And then the big test....the syrup sponge with custard. Would there be a proper amount of custard or just a tiny little poxy pot on the side? I'm happy to report that this was a slam dunk, and I found myself eagerly facing a sponge island in the middle of a sea of custard....outstanding!

If you like great pub grub then this is the place to visit. Staff were very polite from point of booking to the service on the evening. All staff were cheerful, friendly and very efficient. There is an extensive choice of starters; mains and desserts. I chose avocado pear with prawns followed by half a duck in orange sauce. My husband chose whitebait followed by slow cooked lamb - generous portions with moist and tender meat. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. A great atmosphere andxwe look forward to our next visit.

I called in to book a late lunch for a special work colleagues 80th birthday. Unfortunately we had only one window and the Kitchen closes. Ann the owner was marvellous came up with a ideal solution . We had a fantastic buffet . The table laid out and we couldn't have asked for more. I would certainly recommend The Duke of Edinburgh if the service we got is anything to go by look no further. Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon.

We went here for my Sunday lunch for my Aunts birthday after a very bad weekend. The staff were hospitable, the Sunday lunch gorgeous, then when I found out Nick (landlord) was a huge Chelsea fan, the pub went to my favourite pub, even though I live in Dorset! Great pub!

I love stopping off here whilst walking the dog, as does Noah as the place is dog friendly. I usually go for the club sandwich and which ever ale nick recommends , as he is frequently guesting new ones. A real treat to find such a nice pub and landlord in times when profit often comes before service.
