Recently visiting twice for family Sunday Roast and Saturday Lunch, stunning and well kept gardens for outside dining, lovely indoor setting for a better than Pub comfortable setting, a lovely well maintained dining experience. Food fresh, local and can cater for food intolerance, owners on premises to make sure your best experience and welcome, staff really attentive, nothing too much trouble. Best pub food in the area and not to be missed, will keep returning. The venue has lots to offer, first class attention from the minute you arrive.

Great pub, with great food and service to match, nothing is too much trouble and Craig and Faye will make you feel most welcome. The food is amazing and has a twist on classic pub grub and the roast dinners are fab, plus there the pub is very dog friendly and even has a doggy menu! Loads of parking and large beer garden, good selection of beers and soft drinks, Make time for a visit you won't be disappointed!

Been here a few times, food has been great everytime. Seafood Platter was really nice, the extra touches make the difference between the food here and elsewhere. Thanks

Lovely food, beautifully presented. Only downside was the service. When our dessert was served 3 spoons were plonked down on the table not even given out. Would still go back there though. Very dog friendly

On the main road to Street, it would be asy to pass this spot by. However, it's well worth a visit. We dropped in following a lovely walk at a local nature reserve. We had no booking, but they found us a table regardless. It is a cosy setting, with friendly and accommodating staff. We were only looking for a light bite, but their 'crusty rolls' were something else. If you really are looking for something small then share one- they are huge and jam packed. The atmosphere was lovely and facilities were clean and presentable. We would definitely come here again to try their full menu. Lovely stuff.

When a restaurant says it's Dog friendly it doesn't really mean it! I discovered a Gastro Pud that's true to it's word, even a Doggy menu with wine and beer too, treats galore. Now to the humans, we are in Somerset so you expect local Cider and local produce and you get it in bucket loads, all meat locally sourced and vegetables as much as viable possible. The chef and owner is from New Zealand and is happy to spend a few valuable minutes chatting about the produce and is very passionate about his craft. The food comes out like a work of art too but not stingy portions and plenty of hearty vegetables too. The dessert for us was a very traditional offering Sticky Toffee pudding and it was a good one and enough for us to share although l was tempted by the Pavlova, that's the thing nice large portions means you have to think of your waist line and you can have too much of a good thing but something to go back for another time. The waitresses we both very helpful and friendly, you pay as you go at the bar so plenty of time to chat to the locals.

We booked at short notice for a Sunday lunch. Everything from the initial phone call to the food was amazing. We were seated near to the restaurant bar and it was a pleasure to watch the team working together. There was a great new member of staff working hard and being supported by his peers. A good working atmosphere goes a long way to a positive dining experience. The food was wonderful, well presented and beautifully cooked and after our 3 course lunch we could not have been happier. I would recommend booking as this was a busy setting. Dog menu is a fantastic idea with special seating areas but you would not feel isolated. We will be back and our own dog may get to sample the sausage, veg & gravy!
