Arranged a surprise 50th meal which Shonia Richard and Robyn were amazing spot on with service. Chef cooked amazing food all round. Bar staff very friendly. And had good band on. 100% recommend this place for food drink n entertainment .

Came in today with a table of 12 (and high chair). Everyone ordered a roast dinner (baring one child’s burger meal) and all really enjoyed it.
The roast potatoes were lovely and always make a roast for me, the carrots and parsnips were equally delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was very yummy as was the cauliflower cheese and pigs in blankets. I was fussy as I do not like my beef pink and so asked if they could do cook it more and they happily accommodated for me. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the children loved their puddings too. Service was great and everyone was really friendly. We would definitely happily come back and recommend. Just gutted I couldn’t fit in a pudding 🤣

We had a good Sunday lunch and the staff were lovely. I'd recommend the belly of pork and the apple and blackberry crumble.
It's a roomy pub, too.

I haven't been to chimneys for years and thought to try out their updated menu.
Food - As a vegetarian, I had the vegetarian sausage & Mash. 5/5, haven't had a meat free sausage that has been the quality that was at chimneys, I even tried to call to see if it could be purchased in supermarkets!
Rest of the food was good quality and arrived hot.
Waiting time - The waiting time for food to arrive was good and there wasn't a long wait.
Staff - The staff has been great and high quality from both when I went there and also over the phone when I asked about the vegetarian sausages.
Atmosphere - The atmosphere was relaxed and peaceful though please note I did go off-peak (around 4pm weekday). Usually when walking past its super busy and lively.
Cleanliness - The place was clean and neat.
Safe space - I know there are some pubs that aren't welcoming to black people or other POC. As a black person, when I went I generally felt safe and comfortable, I have also spent a lot of time there in my younger years and I believe it's the welcoming type of pubs!
TLDR: If you're a vegetarian definitely go ahead and try to meat-free sausages and stay for the relaxing atmosphere and staff.

Came in on a whim for dinner - what a beautiful building. Food was alright, nothing special but acceptable value for money. What stood out the most was our waitress Sarah. She was absolutely fantastic and provides a laid back yet efficient service whilst also remaining friendly.
Warning to everyone - we asked if we could pay extra on top of our bill by card as a tip but asked if she would receive a portion of this. She advised that unfortunately it wasn’t something that had been sorted by the business. This day and age, hospitality wages are not the best and tips and service charges should be given to the staff. Perhaps an improvement would be to implement the ability to pay tips via card - Sarah missed out on a tip because we didn’t carry any cash.

Absolutely amazing.
Came in this afternoon with my 2 children, husband and in-laws to celebrate my father in law retiring.
Kids both had a small chicken roast which they devoured, which my youngest isn’t too keen on roasts but seemed to prefer this one to my cooking!
Husband had the belly pork and crackling, again, clean plate!
Myself and in laws had a roast chicken. Absolutely lovely! Staff was so friendly, our server Jack was an absolute diamond and was very nice. Service was nothing less than perfect the whole meal through.
Absolutely lovely atmosphere in this pub.
10/10 recommend! Will definitely be returning.

Having a table booked for today and on arrival we was greeted politely and sat at our table with ease, after being sat the waiting staff explained they had an issue with the kitchen equipment and that the menu had to temporarily be reduced. After looking at the reduced menu we went for the chicken roast, chicken and pork belly duo roast the kids had pizza which they was very happy about. The food was lovely and exactly what we expected, the chicken and pork was cooked perfectly. I really take my hat off today to all the staff that had to deal with a kitchen that could only deliver a reduced menu, during my duration there were plenty of tables being seated which shows me that for the first time eating dinner at the new chimneys shows how popular the restaurant is. I will definitely be returning full menu or not.

Had a lovely 2 course meal from their special menu. Highly recommend the fish and chips and Biscotti sundae, nothing left on the plate 😋 and for only £12! Can't wait to go back again. Thank you 😀

We hired the lovely upstairs area for a Christening party this weekend. We had about 40 guests and had the silver hot buffet menu. The food was incredible- the best roast potatoes we’ve ever tasted, delicious cheeseburgers, wraps, chicken, sausages and mini pies. There was plenty of food for all our guests and even some leftovers to take home.
We were able to come in the day before and put up our decorations and set the room up exactly as we wanted.
When we arrived all the guests were served Prosecco or orange juice and the private bar upstairs was great.
We had a wonderful party, it was excellent service, child friendly and great value for money- we will definitely be using again and would highly recommend Richard and all his team. Thanks so much to you all!

Good food, tasty and good service greeted when arrived and accommodating throughout. Waiter didn't know how much single spirits with mixer were and prices weren't on the menu, however turned out to be good value! Only comment on the food; side lettuce needs washing, absolutely laced with pesticide.
