Went here for a friend's birthday party in their function room. Lovely pub fantastic atmosphere from the locals and attentive bar staff. Food provided for the party was lovely.

You will never be disappointed by the food. Lovely beer garden, where you can sit as the church clock chimes and enjoy a decent pint whilst the ducks chatter around you. Great selection of drinks and main meals… one of our favourite pubs.

First visit to Bushel & Strike. To catch up with friends. I was tasked to book a table. My brief somewhere pretty, not too expensive and close to A1. To start It's a little less than 7 mins from Baldock Services. In a pretty village of thatched cottages and directly opposite a church. The food was really good, salmon starter, steak and chips, chicken supreme and mushroom linguine. No complaints from anyone in the party. Dessert consisted of Brownies and apple crumble. The apple crumble was cinnamony good and the brownies rich and dense. All reasonably priced! The barman was really friendly, welcoming and very helpful answering our barage of questions. I think I fulfilled my brief perfectly in finding this little gem of a pub. Thanks for the assist Bushel & Strike. Would recommend.

We went to the pub to try the pizza made by BB Pizza but absolutely loved the atmosphere of the pub. Great pub garden. Dog friendly. Welcoming and friendly staff and patrons. Great Sunday evening out.

My boyfriend and I were here for a roast a few weeks ago, it was amazing!! Great value for money, lovely staff and nice atmosphere. The food is incredible! We would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Far from the sea but they have it sorted. I rarely give 5 stars. Food is always top class here and the family running it have attention to detail that is second to none. Well worth the trip!

Lovely village pub in the most picturesque settings. The interior is to a high standard and has a real warmth to it. We've been a few times under different management and what always remains is an obvious enjoyment for what it is they do. The staff make a pointed getting to know their regulars bout not at the expense of those, like myself who hardly frequent. Us strangers are made to feel just as welcome.
I came for a Christmas meal and it was delicious. Everything was cooked well ans the vegetable sides were flavoursome, not just a soggy afterthought.
The price was very reasonable for the huge amount of food we consumed!
