Went into this gem of a pub for an evening meal on Tuesday, what can I say the waiter and waitresses were amazing, so friendly and cheerful with a warm welcome. The food as usual was outstanding and I highly recommend the mixed grill. Lovely place, thank you to all staff who made my mums birthday meal a wonderful occasion. See you all soon. X

Just been with the family for my birthday meal. Not been in since its been refurbed and the 1st impression was really good. As we walked through the door we were greeted by a very pleasent young lady who showed us to our table. Some of our party were running late but we were never pushed or mithered even though it was saturday night. We ordered our food when everybody was there and that was heaven on a board. We ordered the tapas selection meatballs, potato skins and tempura prawns all fresh and piping hot. Others in our group ordered garlic bread which would of easily served 2 people and a sharing platter. Our main courses consisted of burgers, jacket potatos, ribs and 2 kids meals. All served with salad dips n coleslaw and all polished off. The staff then brought us through a birthday cake with candles (even though i was 52 ���). We purchased our drinks seperatley and the bill for 7 adults and 3 kids came to a very impressive £96.00. Exellent value for money, 1st class service, really polite and friendly staff all situated in an idyillic village location at the side of the canal. Will most definatly will be going back and recomending it to friends and family. Thank you to all staff at The Old Boathouse you are a credit to the establishment you work at.
I visit the Old Boathouse on a regular basis with my wife and two teenagers. The food is always excellent with a good choice and daily specials. The staff are always polite and helpful and nothing is ever too much trouble. The pub has a beer garden and tables overlooking the canal which is lovely on a nice day. Cannot recommend highly enough
