Food was delicious. The speciality dish Steak Hogie is my favourite. Prices have increased as everywhere has. Had a pint of coke with my meal. Staff friendly and helpful. My 93 year old Grandma asked for a scampi and chips. The waitress suggested a smaller portion which worked perfectly and my Grandma was very grateful. My husband had the Carvery which was very yummy but £15 now for a carvery.

Visited yesterday for a nice family meal. We always go for bangers and mash and the Stag burgers. Even though they were super busy(Sunday) the food was just as lovely as on a regular day😋

I live 2 hours from here but I wish I lived closer their roast dinner is incredible. I honestly rate it as the best carvery I've ever had in the UK. Reason being, the chefs are very creative and create extra dishes you wouldn't normally think to have with a roast. These extra dishes are full of flavour. And cooked to perfection. I always recommend this place to friends and family. I suggest you book before hand to avoid disappointment.

One of the best carveries I have had. Despite the beef being a bit overcooked for my liking it was very tender and juicy. Great range of gravies and vegatable, together with all the usual trimmings for a roast, piping hot and really tasty. Backed up with excellent service and great value what moree could you want.

You are greeted by a very warm atmosphere.
The carvery is scrumptious, and the puddings delicious. Its not expensive and your left feeling this is a place you can truly relax in. And Its a place you always want to come back to.

Great menu choices and polite staff. The restaurant where the carvery is situated is fantastic and the service is fantastic polite and nothing is too much trouble. The bar has a lovely atmosphere but can be loud. However the food is great and the service is wonderful.

Lovely place to go for a drink or food.
Nice members of staff. Plenty of parking. Four areas to eat - the bar , the main restaurant, the coffee lounge and outside. Would recommend the Camemburger its delicious.
Have also stayed in the hotel. Room was a good size with coffee machine , kettle and biscuits etc , iron/ironing board ,tv ,shampoo shower gel and shower cap in bathroom. Beds were very comfy.
Ordered room service breakfast which came quickly.

We stopped for a drink and a brake while driving. As it was on our route it made sense. The car park has plenty of space, it's free and is of hard standing. Both my wife and I had a cheese scone and a coffee, the scone was fantastic, full of flavour and was warned for us. The fruit scone also looked really appealing.The coffee was average but still enjoyable. The place is very welcoming, warm, friendly and well maintained. I will definitely go again and will even make a detour just to stop by. The bar area which is also very nice is situated away from the quiet coffee lounge which enables those who wish a quiet drink to do so. The bar area where you also eat is very nice with a good selection of drinks to chose from. Not sure what food was on offer as I didn't stay long enough to try any food but will do in the future.

Nice clean accommodation, friendly staff. Food was excellent. Only negative is that the sole barman is filling restaurant and bar orders on his own, which makes for slow service at times and little conversation, probably because it is a very popular venue that appears to be busy all evening. Perhaps a second bar person would improve that.
