What a lovely experience! I had my late father's wake at the Snipe pub recently, the landlady and staff were brilliant couldn't do more to help. The food provided was all to a good standard and most people went back for seconds on the buffet. Highly recommended 5 stars !!
Spent a fantastic few hours in here the other day. Sat and ‘Guinea minded’, whilst having a lovely pint. These guys have really turned this pub around. So much drive, ideas, inspiration in bucket loads. I sincerely wish you all the best of luck. I much prefer the homely feel of a smaller venue than a big conglomerate place. So much thought has been put in to this place with quiet areas , involvement with trying to keep the kiddies entertained (far more than I have witnessed some actual parents do) ! Well done guys for creating a lovely homely feel with good old fashioned values, something very sadly lacking in today’s upward society .
Amazing little place, will definitely be back. Big beer garden too.
Baby Shower at The Snipe - I would highly recommend this space for an event. The pub has recently had a refurb and fit my brief exactly for a neutral shower. Perfect lay out, plenty of room, with a stage area that can be used for the buffet/presentations etc. Landlady Kate took all the stress away made a playlist of my choice, provided the most gorgeous locally sourced buffet which all my family and friends raved about. Kept checking in with me to ask how everything was. Even took care of the cleaning down. I had around 40 adults and 10 children and the space could have facilitated more. Bar staff were lovely and polite and all staff were very attentive. The hire cost of £50 was worth every penny. Thank you so much Kate and team for hosting my special day.
Was in Ashton yesterday with my neighbour. We decided to go in The Snipe. What a lovely surprise! This place is a little gem. Everything about it is lovely. I wish them all the success in the world for the future
Me and my family had a fantastic time at this pub yesterday. Dion the Landlady was absolutely wonderful especially with our three children, she let our son put fresh logs on the fireplace and was happy to get him another sausage with his meal free of charge. The food was all home cooked and everything was delicious, the pie of the day was the best pie I have ever had. We had a few games of pool in the pool room too and thought it was great that it's separate from the rest of the pub. We all left feeling like we'd been to an aunties house for dinner rather than a pub. Unfortunately we're not local but if we were we'd be back every weekend!
I only nipped in to use the boy's room, the lady behind the bar was very polite, when I asked, next time, I'm in the area, I'll stop for a drink.
Just come away this wonderful place .. and I literally want and will go back again myself and my friends had the best time ever !! Do not hesitate great friendly atmosphere accompanied in ever way the team of staff so friendly can’t do enough to make your time special and for me memorable cos we all need it right.. I found out to they have great entertainment on why go miles when you can have it here ❤️
What a stunning cosy pub - brilliant atmosphere. Dog friendly, great selection of drinks and including non-alcoholic and snacks/free dog treats.
Kate (landlady) & her family are lovely and really welcoming - all the staff are very friendly.
The Snipe shows football on multiple screens which is fab and derby day was fantastic - 100% recommend you visit!
Lovely little pub, pool room in the back. Good selection of ales. Car park is handy, don't forget to put your registration number into the terminal on the bar.
