Lovely place. Since the refurbishment is fantastic, however the food is so very very slow to arrive. Whilst that's great to show its freshly made, you can get bored

Fantastic little cafe with historic importance! We sat and had a lovely cream tea and coffee sitting in the original prison cells! Comfortable and clean with tasty food! Will definitely be back!

I went to the Axminster Arts Cafe on Monday 22nd July 2019, with the "Devon Link-Up" walking group and thought the food and atmosphere was lovely, and the garden was very colourful, especially the architecture. This was my first I went around Axminster apart from going through on the train.

We liked it here. They have a nice outdoor seating area which is shaded. He had tea for two and a slice of lemon and elderflower homemade sponge between us. Just over £6 so it wont break the bank and a nice quiet place to sit and relax ✔😁

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Chicken casserole was excellent. Came again and enjoyed two excellent omelettes. The secret of this place is the friendly and helpful staff. Top marks. Came again 3/1/19 Excellent cottage pie! Gets better and better.

A lovely cafe with a charming quiet garden in the centre of Axminster. We sat in the sunshine and had the most delicious bowl of home cooked spicy squash and sweet potato soup. Very reasonably priced with friendly staff. We will be back.

A hidden, quirky gem in the centre of Axminster. The cafe makes use of the old town jail cells as part of it's layout. The decor is shabby chic with a mixture of tables, chairs and sofas. Beautiful garden with bandstand, a central point for entertainment at times during the summer. The menu is quite standard fare, but done well. Be prepared for a bit of a wait at busy times. This place can be popular.

Cute little cafe off the courtyard with plenty of seating inside, and outside in the pretty garden. Food was tasty and prices reasonable. It was a pleasant experience and I would return when next in the area.
