Arrived without booking & helped to a table with a drink to wait as they were busy. Taken through to eat really quickly by friendly helpful staff. Loved that no one flinched when special needs were mentioned & catered for. The meals were great & I'd happily recommend it.
Good place to eat and some good beers on tap. Overlooking the sea and a lovely sandy beach Ideal for the kids and dog friendly.
The best little slice of heaven! The service was fab, amazing menu - so many choices (and vegan/gf!) and all taste spot on. Done so well. The location is flawless. Sea views, sunshine, beer garden - and a car park you can stay overnight if you eat their delightful food for dinner - win win! 😁 can’t recommend enough. Thank you team. What a gem.
Stay for two night camper van. Free to park just book in end of bar able to get rid of rubbish and to get water, Direct access to beach which is lovely and sandy and mega bonus lavazza coffee. Very clean and pub dog stunning would highly recommend. Definitely visit again good bunch of honest people.
I really enjoyed my long weekend at Poachers Pocket. We parked the motor home in the car park. We had a seaview. Just steps from the beach. The pub had 24 hour access to toilet facilities. The food was delicious and plentiful. The owners and staff were lovely. They met all our needs and were very friendly.
Great place to park up with a campervan or motorhome. Parking spaces right next to the beach.
Register in the pub for a stay up to 24 hours free of charge, just eat and drink in the pub.

This is our second time at this pub. My daughter rides a horse locally so went after we finished there . Went at 5:30pm both times and got tables. No problems even though it was quite busy . Staff very friendly , the waiting staff are brilliant and nothing is too much . It is a bit pricey .. BUT the view is beautiful and has a great atmosphere. I had the feta salad which was very tasty even though it was a salad . The families food was wonderful too, nice touch that you can park your car and type in your reg and it gives you the opportunity to leave it there for 24hrs if you wanted too as long as you brought some food and drinks at the pub which is fair enough . Few steps down to the beach too. Not a bad word to say , will definitely be back .
Had a wonderful stay at the Poachers Pocket. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, and the place has a lovely atmosphere. It's located right next to the sea, and there's a wide range of indoor and outdoor seating options.
It's also very dog friendly, allowing canine companions within the bar, and providing several water bowls for them to drink from around the premises. Would love to stay again in the future!
Good food, the staff are very welcoming. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. We stayed overnight in our campervan.
Woke to a wonderful view!
We parked up here on Saturday morning and spent two lovely days here. Free to park up if you dinned in the pub. Which we did that night. We were not expecting very much as our van neighbours had said that the food on the Friday night was very poor.
But we were very happy with our food and the other guests around us were too.
Remember to check your van in at the bar upon your arrival.
When the pub is closed there is another door at the rear that gets you into the 24hr toilets.
Overall we had fantastic time here, and will be back again soon before summer breaks.
Good food and drinks overlooking the beach. Something for everyone on the menu. Inside is a little tired but no complaints. The toilets and everything were very clean.
Food was great and the staff in the kitchen and bar, only gripe was I received a hundred pounds parking fine from brittania car parking 🅿️ even though I was in the pub restaurant eating out for my sister-in-laws birthday . My niece has been in contact with the patriots of the pub and was told that the fine would be deleted I can only wait to see 👀🙈
