I had the velvet cake which was excellent. My cycling colleagues had full breakfast which they seemed to enjoy, only issue was the wait for some of the food.

Very tasty breakfast - my only gripe being the slices of toast being cut in to triangles! How can I make butties with those???

Nice place with fab food. Lots of options to choose from and reasonably priced. Busy cafe so can feel a bit cramped when full. Been a couple of times now and do recommend.

After being sent out to find food while visiting bacup I was pleased to find Nellie's was open with it being a Sunday and did take away. Two spam butties and a sausage butty at a reasonable price, 3 happy people and we will definitely be back.

Simple, good stuff. We've only been twice, both have been for breakfast, and both have been excellent. They have a range of breakfasts, from small to belly buster. Everything is cooked fresh, the ingredients are top notch butchers items. We only get the small one, but that's 1 sausage, 1 bacon, beans, egg, hash brown, and a slice of toast. You also get a mug of tea or coffee (good quality filter one, i.e. nothing fancy, but definitely not instant). All of that for us is a belly buster. The best part is it's £3.50 - for all of it. We've been in places where the coffee and toast are more than that, never mind the breakfast. Then there's the staff. All make you feel as though you've been a regular for years. Friendly, helpful and willing to do anything special, and all with a genuine smile and heartfelt gratitude. The decor is clean and new, and even the loo is huge and tiled from floor to ceiling. My only complaint is we've lived in the Rossendale valley for 2 years and only found it two weeks ago!

Had a breakfast. Perfect egg, very very tasty sausage and bacon. All cooked to perfection and served with a smile. On top of all that it was great value.
