We brought a selection of bakes to take home to try and we were not disappointed! The Bakewell tart was delicious and one of the best we’ve tasted. It was especially delicious with some creamy custard! The Bakewell pudding was something we’d not heard of, but worth a try. It’s puff pastry based and tasted good! The shop was very busy and popular with tourists!!

Whilst we were on holiday popped in for a drink. I have to say all staff were extremely friendly which is rare sometimes in this day and age. Shane was especially polite and make our experience lovely. The owners should be very proud of the business and staff that they have.

Called in for dinner. I ordered homity pie and Australian sticky chai. My pie was delicious and every bit was eaten. I ordered the Chai as a change from my usual Latte, so glad I did, tasty doesn't describe it. I would love to be able to make that myself. This place would be my every day visit if it wasn't so far away from my home...shame.

The customer service was excellent. The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. We visited to try the gluten-free Bakewell Tart and were not disappointed. It's a huge portion served with cream, ice cream, or custard. I couldn't finish mine so it was wrapped up for me to take away. The menu is extensive, and the savoury meals being eaten by other customers looked great. I'd highly recommend a visit!

My husband and I stumbled across The Bakewell Tart Shop several years ago whilst heading to Durham and this shop is the sole reason that we've returned to Bakewell time and time again. We got engaged in Bakewell and celebrated by having lunch in The Bakewell Tart Shop, we later got married in Bakewell and The Bakewell Tart Shop supplied tarts and cakes for our wedding guests... this shop/restaurant is a little piece of heaven; the staff are all so incredibly kind, the food is delicious and very reasonably priced and the choice is vast, varied and utterly perfect. Please visit this delight of a shop, you won't regret it.

Lovely little cafe and shop. The staff were rushed off their feet but still provided quick, good service. Our food was delicious and the cakes we brought from the shop to takeaway were as well. Some of the nicest cafe food I've ever had. Would definitely recommend 👍

We was told when you visit Bakewell, you have to try a Bakewell tart from the Bakewell tart shop so we did. The front part of the shop is so small we joined the back of the queue and we were stand just outside the door. Despite the queue we were served quickly, the staff were very efficient and polite. My only negative would be the price. 9/10

One of my favourite cafes in the land! Always friendly, amazing service and the best meals in the cafe. Today my husband and I tried the afternoon tea… and it was absolutely heavenly. The best scones I’ve ever had by a country mile. More than happy to recommend and bring friends!

It was absolutely ramo when I visited in the week, I’m sure the rain had a big role to play in that! I got some quick bakewell takeout to enjoy at home and my word, did we enjoy. Never had a bakewell quite like it, so nutty and moist with beautiful crunchy pastry. I am happy this place isn’t too close or I would be tempted far too often!! Do yourself a favour and try their tarts whilst you are in Bakewell. When in Rome as they say.
