We had afternoon tea here today. The whole experience was an utter delight from the quality of the welcome , service, ambiance and delicious new menu. Our hostess Petra was so kind. Thank you to everyone at the Flying Childers for giving 3 generations of women celebrating mothers and a birthday , such a happy day never to be forgotten.

Afternoon Tea at the Flying Childers restaurant, which was a late birthday present for my wife, from her cousins. From start to end everything was just perfect, attentive staff & the 4 course afternoon tea was one of the best Ive had by far. There is vast tea selection to choose!

After a lovely day at Chatsworth, we decided to try to see if we could come back the next day for afternoon tea. I checked online and it showed no availability, but when we popped in and asked, they were friendly and accommodating and set up a reservation for us. It was everything we hoped for and more. The staff was wonderfully pleasant and made us feel so comfortable, the food was delicious, and the tea was fantastic! We loved it immensely, and will be sure to make The Flying Childers and Chatsworth a part of our itinerary the next time we fly back across the "pond".

Absolutely beautiful afternoon tea today for my mum's birthday. They looked after my mum's presents as we were looking around the gardens first. My mum had a problem with her Satnav and was worried about getting home, and they very happily agreed to charge it for her while we dined! Will, our waiter, was so polite, attentive and witty - it made the experience so much more personal. They even brought out an extra cake with 'Happy birthday' written in chocolate on the serving dish - a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend afternoon tea here - all of the food was delicious and my daughter loved her children's version!

Celebrated my birthday and 13th wedding anniversary and we could not have picked a better place for a double celebration. The sandwiches were delicious, the cakes and scones were amazing, presented on beautiful china along with lots of different teas, which the waitress bought us along to try. Lovely experience and a big thankyou to Hazel who looked after us and we felt very special in a beautiful ambiance. Thankyou Lynne and Martyn x

I took my husband to Chatsworth for a birthday treat and the afternoon tea did not disappoint. The ambience of the Flying Childers is very refined. Casual dress is fine but it feels like a special occasion. Crockery and cutlery is quite posh and the food and beverages are excellent quality. Plenty of food, we managed the smoked salmon appetizer, finger sandwiches and selection of patisserie but had to take the Buxton Opera Cake home with us. The Prosecco was very pleasant and the teas we tried were lovely. I can recommend the Rococo Flowers, a white tea which pairs well with cake.

Plenty of seating, with well maintained rest rooms. A nice touch is the free water for filling up bottles etc. A small selection of hot and cold food, including a couple of simple sandwich options for the more picky children. Hot and cold drinks also available.

I booked the flying childers for afternoon tea today for my mother's 84th birthday and I must say it was 100% the right decision. The food was amazing and so was the service. A young man with dark hair and specticals, sorry didn't get his name 🙄 was so professional polite and everything he explained perfectly he made my mums birthday very special he is an asset to the company. I will visit again and recommend anyone to try it.
