Stopped for Fish and chips after a day out in Bakewell with the family, food was hot even after 10 minute journey back to the cottage where we stayed. Food was freshly cooked, fish was soft and a decent size ( no skinny fillets thinner than the batter). Batter lovely and crisp and not at all greasy. Curry sauce was enjoyed by all as were the mushy peas. Generous portions at a decent price. Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again if in the area.

Yet another fish and chip review from me.
Super clean establishment and nice polite staff.
We had the fish and chip special that includes mushy peas.
Priced at £5.45 this has to be one of the best value takeaway fish and chips in the country.
Lovely chips and a nice light crispy batter to the haddock.
Will definitely use again when in the area.

Best chippy in Bakewell. The special for £6.75 is such a steal, you get fish, chips, and your choice of sauce or peas/beans. We got the curry sauce and it was out of this world, the fish was sooo crispy and the chips were great!!

Lovely chippy. Very clean and professional. Open late which was a bonus for us - on the way home after a days walking. Very impressed with the fish and chip special - excellent value and just enough of everything 😁

5.95£ for fish chips and gravy/curry sauce. The fish was very crispy, freshly fried, but it tasted like nothing. I'm not sure if it was just the fish as cod is not very flavourful, but we couldn't even taste the vinegar and salt. Portion was more than enough. Gravy/ curry sauce was very thick and nice. 8/10

Based on past reviews for this place, I decided to give them a go. Wow !! I ordered the fish and chips and mushy peas special . It was all delicious though the mushy peas were an absolutely standout for me. Terrific value at £5.95 for a delicious meal . I would most certainly recommend - they were pretty busy on the Monday night whilst I was there but the service was friendly and efficient . Try them out !!

Best fish n chips ive had in years. Fish was cooked fresh with crispy batter, the chips were great and wow!the mushy peas were delicious. After a day of climbing i couldnt have asked for better food. Wish i lived closer 😀

Fantastic fish and chips that cater for the local people. Opening times are suited to local people too and not the tourists (unlike some of the other fish and chip shops in the area). They accept cards which saves a trip to the bank. Fish is cooked fresh and the chips are really nice too. My partner says the curry sauce is one of the best she has had.
