Absolutely beautiful, travelled 30 minutes but so worth it. Really friendly staff!! Tasty food!! Was still hot after travelling home so perfect!!!
The best asian food in Newark, while pricey it will always provide outstanding food and service. The only minus is the large spring roll. Please make small ones!!!
You’re always greeted very fast with friendly smiles when you walk in. With the lovely bar and prawn crackers whilst you wait makes it a lovely experience! The good is amazing and unlike other Chinese’s doesn’t feel too greasy or as quite unhealthy. Would highly recommend!
Best Chinese takeaway. Well worth travelling to pick up amazing food. The monkfish was amazing
first time here. clean, friendly staff. absurdly good food. will go again for sure!
Absolutely delicious. More expensive than other takeaways in Newark but worth it for the quality. Lots of really tender meat, fresh veg in fantastic sauces.
Kaho is the best Chinese Takeaway in Newark. The food is always fresh and great quality. No MSG used, which is why we always feel fine when we have food from here. Never that feeling of stodgyiness etc. It's more expensive but we decided that we go less often but have the quality food from Kaho.
Food on time, both meals top class.
This is the most luxurious takeout I have ever visited. More like a hotel foyee, with lots of comfortable leather sofas, tables, and an absolute huge TV showing the food network. But you came for the food right? With one major exception the food was largely great. The duck with pineapple was generous and superb. The sweet and sour chicken and egg fried rice loverly. We had differing thoughts on the prawn toasts (I personally liked though too much oil), but it way over-priced as if if a main meal??? What they got mysteriously wrong was the shredded chilly beef. It wasn't crispy but chewey, and far too hot compared to every other Chinese takeaway I've ever had this dish in. Please takes note KaHo, and make it a milder and crispier beef like we're used too? Thanks.
KaHo is without doubt the best 'Chinese' I've ever eaten and it's not even close.
We'd waited a while, for a special occasion because it's not a cheap take away. But now I understand why that's a good thing. Everything is restaurant quality, from the interesting and fresh homemade dips with the mixed starter, to the generous amount of duck and vegetables that comes with the duck pancakes. You get quality and quantity at KaHo.
Every dish was different too. There's nothing worse than having a takeaway where everything tastes the same. Amazingly, not only did every dish at KaHo come with a wildly different suace and flavours, but the vegetables in each dish were also different, in both variety and cut.
As a head chef it's also worth noting that I spotted a bunch of different skills that had been implemented, only a good restaurant would use.
The General Tso's chicken (which was incredible) had a mirepoix cut of veg, whilst the king prawn and veg and a Jardinier cut. That might mean little to the kitchen-untrained mind, but what that does is give you different textures and flavours across your entire meal.
10/10 will be going back. Will never eat another Chinese elsewhere.
