What a lovely gem an establishment. The outside does not do it justice, like most places on the island. We walked into lovely friendly atmosphere with very young children and immediately was warmly welcomed. It's a family place. Lovely oak beams and a lit fire place. The star of the show was the chefs Sunday roast beef dinner. We will be back for more. Thankyou white stone. Been back and the roast dinner was even more enjoyable. Great Head chef and staff. We returned and the food was even more enjoyable.

Fantasmagorical pizza. This pub is blighted by the fact that it has no kerb appeal. It looks large and not terribly exciting from outside and more fool you (and me at first) for being judgemental on appearances alone. There's a decent sized car park and a lovely, compact beer garden. Walk in and it's huge inside, but wait! Is this just another identikit pub, such as the Mitre in Kirkmichael and The Queens in Douglas? Of course it is: triple sausage and mash (ok), fish and chips (ok) - y'know the type - typical uninspiring pub grub, fulfilling a need, but nothing more than mediocre. However: Brilliantly surprised with the most amazing pizza I've had in a long time. I opted for the meat feast (described on the menu as something else, you'll work it out). When it was served, it was obvious that this had been created with care. The pizza base had been hand stretched and dusted with semolina after exiting the oven, preventing it from sticking to the pizza board. A nice touch, as only someone who knows how to bake will know why this is important. Cutting through the pizza revealed some serious mozzarella loading. The pizza was deep in cheese, complimented with a really tasty tomato sauce and just the right level of chilli to make it picante, accentuating flavour rather than just adding raw heat. It was also generous in size, providing more than I could handle, and peresenting my fellow diners the opportunity to sample some serious pizza wizardry and share the enjoyment. We'll done chef, 100% :0) PS. Finally found some good local beer, O'Kells 1907, available in bottles only. Let it warm up a little as the flavours are too muted when straight out of the fridge. This is worthy of a beer gold medal, but you'll need to designate a driver before trying it as it's > s t r o n g <

Had Sunday lunch in September. Food was excellent and the service good. A shame the pub seemed so quiet.

Great food and drink, quiet pub. Currently covered in scaffolding on the outside so hard to realise it was a pub from the outside if you've not been before, bit does not affect the experience inside.

We had a lovely family meal with my elderly Father. They we extraordinarily busy with only 2 staff working behind the bar. However that didn't deter from the service and quality of food. The lady who worked behind the bar was so attentive to our needs and extra helpful. Especially when my Father struggled to manage the card machine at the end of the night. She was so patient and assisted us to make alternative payment arrangements. She was lovely and helped us to have an enjoyable special night.....thank you

We have dined here before and were very happy with the food etc. We called last week, May 2023, and they don't serve food at lunchtime. A brewery decision I believe, ridiculous.

Turns out we've been passed this pub a couple of hundred times & my attention is always on the traffic so I've missed it, what a wally !!! Good car park and beer garden, inside is absolutely massive and well decorated. The service at the bar was spot on & the food was just as good, Not overly massive portions but again spot on. A starter & main meal with no room for a pudding !!!, but plenty to choose from, Going back again, Definitely.
