The Stables Restaurant & Bar

Lovely place, great warm service and the staff were so friendly. I went for the Turkish menue which was delicious 😋. I didn't take pictures of all the food, but I ordered pizza too for the kids and I really loved the base, It's wood fired and tasted amazing. For dessert I had the Baklava, my favourite 😍

We had a very late lunch and the staff still accommodate us. The food was homemade and very delicious! The sticky toffee pudding was really yummy and the fish as well. The pudding looked really good as well but I couldn't wait to eat it so that's why there's no picture of it 😅 very friendly staff as well!

I was spending the weekend in Loch Lomond and wanted to try a local restaurant, after looking on Google I noticed that The Stables came out on top with the best reviews, so after a quick phone call we left our hotel and headed into Balloch, they are located in the city centre and have on site parking available which does get quite busy. The restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating available, the staff are so friendly and down to earth willing to answer any question and go the extra mile. Myself & my Girlfriend ordered the chicken goujons, which is usually a go to for us when we see it on a menu. It was really busy but the food was served in no time at all and tasted delicious, no meal is complete without desert, so a banana boat & a chocolate fudge cake sounded just what we were after. Once again served in no time at all considering they were really busy. All in all our experience was great: from the food to the really friendly staff it will definitely make us go back for more!

Absolutely delicious food at The Stables. My sister and I had spent the day at the local swimming with my niece and were looking for somewhere to get food. We phoned around and found The Stables where open and able to take us straight away at short notice. The waitress was so lovely, friendly and very accommodating. The food was delicious with big portions. I got the chicken and leek pie with mash and my sister got the cajun chicken pasta. We shared a chocolate fudge cake which was beautiful! I highly recommend this little gem if your looking for a friendly and warm restaurant with delicious food. 5 out of 5. I will be back.

Visited in lunch time in a middle of the week. Service was quick and very friendly. Thank you Jan who serve us at the table! Catch of a day (sea bass) was lovely and fresh!!! I loved it. The only thing was that there was no music and not many guests so the place seemed empty. I'd give 5/5 for food, 5/5 for service and 4/5 for vibe.

Came in for lunch on 13th August. First impression was that the Restaurant was in desperate need of an upgrade. just the place seemed very dated and dark inside compared the the quirky "stable" look outside. But they did have comfortable booths to sit in, which I always count as a plus in any restaurant. The menu was great. Very extensive. Something for everyone. Even picky eaters. Though it was a little more expensive than some other pub restaurants, we realised that comes with the tourist area territory. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Always smiling, and very helpful. They were quick with our food and with taking our plates away and they adhered to social distancing. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Good sized portions, and amazing home made chips. Went to the bathroom before leaving which were clean enough but again could use an update desperately. All around good experience.

My sister picked this place as she drives by it on her commute to work and always wanted to try it. We were due to go here for mothers day but brought it forward due to the ongoing issues. Great menu with plenty to pick from, I went for the fish and chips and my mum picked the fish cakes, both were fantastic portions and tasted great. Will definitely be back, service was brilliant, thank you for a lovely experience.
