The Old Auctioneer

I do love coming here the wings and pizzas are amazing and the fat santa burger is pretty decent too( tad pricy but I'd say worth it). Only let down is they don't offer any sort off vegetables on the kids menus like carrot peas or broccoli. We did ask but you don't. We had a 10 month old and 5 year old who would of lnhailed some but mostly the 10 month old as there wasn't anything we could give her other than a few chips:) please think about that but still we will return.

Really, really enjoyed this place. It was recommended by a local colleague during a visit to Banbury and it did not disappoint. The place is very non-descript from the outside but is massive on the inside but extremely cosy. Log wooden ceilings, stone floor and fire place, a perfect place to drink away a day and you could easily forget you are in the middle of a town. Staff were super helpful and friendly and the food very nice and reasonably priced. I'm thinking of a weekend trip back down to Banbury with the family, just to get another visit in at The Old Auctioneer. I would reccomend booking ahead of time as it did see quite a lot of footfall even in the middle of the week but you could try your luck.
