The Gate (no longer an Inn) is now a private house owned by a friend of long standing, who I visited today. It's a place of great character but no longer a public house.

We stayed here for 3 days due to an accident of fate and had an absolutely wonderful time . Lovely, large & clean room . Ian & Anne are wonderful people & amazing hosts . The food was delicious, .. we ate at the pub for almost every meal because it has the best food & beer around by far. So happy we found it & hope to come back next year. Child friendly as well :)

One of the best pubs for miles around. Ian and Anne are always super-friendly and welcoming; the pub itself is cosy, the atmosphere is very relaxed and the beer is never less than excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a pub truly at the heart of the village, Ian and Anne are hosts exceptional and cannot do enough for the guests. The beer is second to none and I recommend the Bloody Mary as the very best you can get anywhere the world over! We have had visitors stay at the rooms and they were very impressed. The food is simple and superb. If you want a place to eat or drink in the southern Warwickshire/ north Cotswolds area then this is the place for you!

A warm welcome from Ian & Anne - great village pub & Tuesday night fish & chips not to be missed. Thank you - we'll be back! That was in 2013ish. Ian & Anne no longer incumbent. Pub closed ATM. 😔

A lovely country pub, presided over by a well known and likeable character who is known by his nickname of (Baggy). It can and does get very busy. Plenty of seating outside for when the sun shines.

Excellent unpretentious proper pub with great beer (Hook Norton) and fine food (fish and chips). Very walker friendly to boot.

Well done to Ian and Anne! Another fantastic night at The Gate! Ales are spot on and you can judge for yourself just how good the gammon was!

Charming village pub with great landlord and landlady. Well kept beer and a car park. Ticks all the boxes!

Nice homely pub. Real fire, and lovely garden. Although it really needs new seats.
