Great dog friendly place. Staff very friendly and outdoor balcony great. 2 for 1 cocktails Saturdays, food served not tried as had other plans.

Good food with friendly staff. Just a shame food stops being served at 8 and the bar closes at 9 ( not sure about the bothy) but generally a friendly place well priced

Lovely place for a dinner and drinks (or just drinks, as we had on a previous night). Good choice on the menu - we opted for the Sunday roast and it was incredible; one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything on the plate was perfect and the gravy was amazing. The Cullen skink is also worth ordering - delicious.
The service was prompt and friendly, the prices were great - under £10 for a gin and a pint. We’ll definitely come back!

Some of the best food! Such friendly hosts and so understanding. Room was fine for a family of 4! Overall a great stay, would recommend to anyone in the Banchory area 😄

The food was nice. Lovely lunch menu.
The only grumble I have was the rotten songs playing. A 90s playlist by the Corrs and Shania Twain and some other 90s one hit wonders..
Also I must add, I went to the ladies before we left and it seemed very much like non customers were sneaking in through the back open door to use the toilets...
The place wasn't busy when I was in, but the toilets were very busy!!???

We stopped here for a quick lunch bite. It was a really pleasant surprise! The food was really, really good and the perfect portion size. Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. They have a really nice outdoor balcony so we enjoyed our food with some Scottish sunshine!

Thank you to the Douglas Arms Hotel for hosting a funeral gathering a few weeks ago, during Tier 2. The Hotel went above and beyond to cater for us, whilst keeping us safe within all the Tier 2 guidelines. Very much appreciated. The food was delicious too. Thank you.

Excellent food. Best fish and chips I've had in a long time. Friendly and attentive staff. Great covid-19 protocol in place. Definitely a safe place go eat.

The food was amazing, from start to finish. I had the black pudding burger, delicious toppings, perfectly cooked. My wife had the pan fried pork loin. Tasty gravy and red cabbage. Also enjoyed the cask beer after so long under lockdown. Trade Winds went down a treat. Will be back on Tuesday for the 2 for 1 cocktails!
