Friendly pub with a genial host and hostess who took the time to talk to a couple of tourists. Advise to pop in and enjoy the banter.

Friendly little pub overlooking the beach. Pool and darts in the bar and a family section to eat with the kids. This is where the pub scenes from the Local Hero movie were shot and we were able to get pics taken behind the bar where I muttered the immortal words, "I'll make a good Gordon, Gordon"

Spent three nights at the Ship Inn in October 1993. Learned by chance it was pub where scenes filmed for Local Hero. Hope to return soon after I retire in 2021.

We had a great couple of drinks and a chat with the friendly owner who pointed us in the right direction for a nice dinner. If you read this: you were totally right, had an amazing dinner!

Very friendly. Visited because of its connection to Local Hero. Stopped back a couple times because it was familiar and we needed somewhere to stop. We never tried the food.
