Best place for live Iobsters, shrimp, haddock, clams, oysters etc. in the Bangor area. Very competitive prices and always super fresh. We always just buy everything to-go and cook our lobster at home but there are tables outside where you can eat. Highly recommend if you're looking for fresh seafood. Wow. The locals suggested we eat here and I am so happy they did. We loved the food and surprisingly enjoyed the laidback environment. The lobster portions were generous and a lot cheaper than other area restaurants. I can't wait to go back and get more lazy lobster or lobster rolls here. The ice cream is delicious too! The staff was fantastic and service was quick.

Feel like wasting eight bucks? Then order McLaughlin's chicken burger. When you hear "chicken burger," what do you think? I think of a nice slab of chicken on a bun with some mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and maybe a pickle. Instead, I was presented with this (see attached) pathetic excuse for a "burger" that I didn't even eat and fed to my dogs. This looks like something a second-rate high school cafeteria would feed to poor students. It was just a bun with absolutely nothing on it except for this ridiculous excuse for "chicken." I can't believe the place has the audacity to charge eight dollars for this disaster. How dare they call it a burger! It's been almost a month since my visit yet I'm still upset about it. It didn't even come with any sides. What a scam!

The lobster was tough signaling (to) me that is was old. I also had the lobster stew that was very oily as opposed to creamy. I’m sure the locals like this place and are given the freshest lobsters, but the THREE lobster dinners we ordered were lacking that fresh, sweet tasting lobster. I don’t expect a place that is the capital of lobstering to have lackluster lobster.
