Taste Of India

I always order the same thing every time we come here because I have not tried many Indian spices or exotic dishes, and I would hate to spend $16-17 on a dish that I didn’t like! It seems like the prices have gone up quite a bit since last year, I always get the Mango Chicken, but was surprised when I got my bill and saw the dish was $17 and the Garlic Naan’s that used to cost $3 were now $5. Everything on the menu has gone way up, even just a small carton of extra rice. Every time I have got our food home it’s always neatly packaged in plastic containers, the servings are a pretty good size, and my Mango Chicken is always hot and cooked perfectly. So my only real complaint would be the prices but I don’t mind coming here for an occasional splurge. As for the staff, I have always had pleasant experiences ordering from the woman who runs this place, but there is a guy who works here who is extremely rude and the food always looks like it was thrown against the wall before being boxed up. I definitely prefer when she cooks and handles my food.

I just attempted to ask that male about delivering three items to my elderly friend, who's residing at Dexter in a Nursing Home. The male thing treated me dismissively and impolitely in at least three other ways. He ended my Call abruptly for no reason. He is one of the rudest Indians I've encountered in Central Maine. He's a real kent!

I love this restaurant! The family knows how spicy I like my food to be and they nail it every time! The portions are large and we get a 2nd meal out of it. The staff is friendly and welcoming and most importantly their food is delicious!!! It makes going to Bangor enjoyable knowing I can get some tasty Indian food. :)

I've been looking for good Indian food since I moved here and I've finally found it. This place has amazing food. The staff are very friendly, succinct, concise and overall very efficient. Although the dining room is closed you still get a great aesthetic. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who might even be remotely interested in eating outside of your comfort zone. Just pick a dish and enjoy a Taste of India. Don't forget the naan!
