Went on a Friday evening. Fairly busy, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Food was really Good.
My only criticism was that as soon as we finished our starters, the main course was brought out. I'd have preferred more of a gap - having said that our table was booked for 6pm and they needed the table back for 7.45pm.
I ordered the special which was venison bourginion. It was delicious however there wasn't nearly potato for the amount of sauce. Ordering a separate side would be recommended.
All in all it was a really lovely meal and I would definitely go back.
A fantastic first visit for us! Nice venue with plenty of atmosphere. The food was superb and there was a great selection of wines, cocktails and beers. Try the fish skin poppadoms as part of your tapas and I would recommend the steak! Can't wait to return!
What a hidden gem and how lucky we are to have found it. Without doubt one of the best restaurants in Bangor if not county Down. The food we had was the best we have had in Bangor. Excellent variety on the menu, and a fantastic wine list. The staff were brilliant which topped of the experience. Looking forward to our next visit.
Absolutely lovely! From the menu choice (a dedicated and substantial vegetarian and vegan menu available) and quality of the food to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who went out of their way to ensure we had an excellent experience and were able to fit in a dessert before leaving for our train home. Definitely the best restaurant we visited on our Northern Ireland holiday 😁
I recently had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious vegan options available. The food was tasty, but what truly stood out was the exceptional attention and service provided by the staff, especially Louise, who was absolutely lovely. The only downside was that the restaurant was rather noisy at that time, but overall, I would definitely return for the excellent food and outstanding service. Highly recommended!
I really enjoyed Underground Dining, the service was lovely, the music good but not too loud, but the FOOD! I’m a big fan of seafood pasta, and a prawn tagliatelle is a classic however in Underground Dining they add ginger which (in my experience) was so unique and deliciously fresh. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu. They also do great cocktails 🍸
The wife and I went for a meal on Saturday evening at the 6pm sitting. There are 2 sittings on a Saturday evening and you have to prebook at least a week in advance. Service is very good and prices are very reasonable for a meal out in Bangor. Our starters were both delicious and our mains were also great. Venison bourgignon was amazing actually. We had a cheese board to share to finish which was pretty average. Gets quite noisy but that's to expected for a Saturday evening. Try and book a table on the right hand side of the restaurant as the other side all the table are really close together. Not sure what outside is like but ask for inside unless you are a bigger party I think. We'll be back I am sure as the steaks looked great too!

Food was lovely and well presented. The lamb just fell apart and my partners beef in her red Thai curry was the same. The service was good and not overwhelming and all 'n' all it was a very enjoyable experience and will most definitely be back and recommend to others. 5 ⭐
This is one of my favourite restaurants. There is a great atmosphere. The food is exciting and delicious. Fantastic vegan and vegetarian menu.
