Review Garden House - Banham

First time visiting The Smoke House and we were hugely impressed. From walking in the door, to being seated, ordering drinks and being served our food - the staff were exceptional. We both ordered ribs….and were defeated by the huge rack. Fries - awesome, mac’’n’cheese - great, onion rings - immense! Wonderful staff and great value for money. Will definitely be back!

A fantastic eatery hidden away in Banham. Visited on a Saturday night and even though it was busy, there was a table available for us. It's quite a small place, but has a big atmosphere. Found the staff to be helpful and the food was brilliant. Great value for money too. I feel I will be visiting here often as I live locally.

Not been before. Warm welcome from staff, showed to our seats. Fabulous food, I had the T-bone steak, perfectly cooked and so tender. Diner type establishment and the welcome from staff and landlord made us feel we were almost visiting a friends home. Not over the top but just right. Will be revisiting as saw some of the other dishes coming out and need to try them hmmm.

The American diner feel came through quite well. Came for lunch today, had the pork belly burnt ends and brisket platter. I'd say that both were delicious, would've liked if they had own house BBQ sauce instead of a packet one. Would've been that bit more amazing. The mini-mac and cheese was to die for. Decently priced for the portion size.

Best BBQ ribs and brisket I've had in my 23 years living in the UK 🇬🇧. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The owner was glad to hear suggestions to the menu. I have plans to go there this weekend already. 👍🏻

A culinary delight. The food is so yummy. The ribs and brisket are so tender. Above all else, the burnt ends starter is a must. The food portions are huge. The place is decorated like an American 50s diner. It is so cute. The servers are really nice and helpful. Reservations are definitely recommended. 10/10 we’ll be going back.

Meal for 7 the other weekend (Saturday early evening booking). The food was delicious, nice atmosphere and the waiting staff were lovely, but they clearly needed more staff both front of house and kitchen staff . We were there just over 3 hours! We ordered and waited over an hour for our food to arrive (not ideal with 3 hungry youngsters, not to mention us adults!!) and only after we had asked where it was. We watched other tables arrive, order, eat and go! When our food arrived, it took a while to come out from the kitchen and then one of the children’s meals was missing its coleslaw! Which again took a while to arrive after we asked. It had got incredibly busy. We did get an apology and the food was definitely delicious but a very long wait!!

Amazing food and great service. We visited recently after hearing so many good things! We were well looked after & nothing too much trouble. A great little setting which was completely unexpected from the outside. Our food was to die for & cannot wait to return. The T-Bone Steak was heavenly amd melted in the mouth. Portions were big but the quality was not sacrified. We are already planning when we can get there next despite it being an hour from home! Cant recommend the smokehouse highly enough!

Had been waiting 6 months to get round to going to the smoke house! WOW! Food,service and atmosphere were spot on. Make sure you’re really hungry before you go. 10/10

This place is amazing....food is lovely and staff were amazing. Not a huge menu which is good, as what they do, they do well. Highly recommended and great value for money

Lovely place. 5 of us had a variety of things...ribs... Brisket burgers and sides. Seated straight away on a very busy Saturday (we did book) beers and wine served promptly. Food order taken-approx 20 minutes wait which I thought was great for how busy they where. We will be returning, the service was great we even stayed in the pub for a few drinks afterwards. Highly recommend

Wow, the portion sizes here are massive! Food was gorgeous I had ribs and could only manage half but took the rest home 😂 staff were really friendly and accommodating, lovely little hidden gem in banham would deffo recommend and will be returning. We came on my birthday and they even played happy birthday in the restaurant which was a nice little touch. Thankyou all at The Smokehouse!

Went to The Garden/ Smoke house with a group of friends as we were looking forward to trying a new type of restaurant that differs so much from the typical restaurants in england. We had bambam broccoli and burnt pork ends for starters, smoked brisket and burgers for mains, and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was top-notch from the flavour to the presentation of the dishes. The meats were soft and juicy. It was delicious. You could taste how fresh the food was, and the portions were huge, extremely generous. Can't wait to go back and try the sharing plater. There was plenty of space to even bring a guitar and play outside while having some after meal drinks at the front of the restaurant. Very friendly staff. The chef is definitely an asset to the business. Keep up the good work, and congratulations on your unique restaurant. I will definitely see you soon.

The smokehouse is amazing! Great food, amazing, fast service and a friendly atmosphere! The food is scrumptious. Will keep returning whenever we can! They even have proper high chairs.

We ate hear for the first time last month and thoroughly enjoyed it, the staff were friendly and super quick. The food was amazing and I would highly recommend it to friends and family.

This is an exceptional place to eat, the service was second to none, and even my dogs got fussed with a nice piece of brisket. An absolute must to visit. Thank you for your exceptional service and attention to detail, our visit to you was the perfect end to our week's holiday to Norfolk.

What a great pub!! family and dog friendly. Nick and Shell, landlord and landlady very welcoming and very friendly, staff are great too. Only been in a few times as new to the area but already made to feel like a regular ,which we most definitely will be. Great choice of ales, lagers, spirits, and the food is superb... Definitely recommend the Sunday lunch, best I have had in a long time. If you love your sport they have Sky and BT sports so you don't miss a thing. The view from the beer garden looking over the farmers fields and church in the background is lovely. They hold events regularly, beer fests , BBQ,s and live music and bouncy castles for the kids, the Lee Vasey band was a night to remember, the morning not so good, hanging! If it's a friendly local pub you are after this is the place! My only fault is that Nick the landlord is a Spurs fan! Trust me, you can't go wrong here. Ps. Staying at a B&B 5 miles away and was recommended to the Garden House as I was starving having not eaten all day. I was not disappointed. Great food and so much of it! Landlord was fab and really kind. Great pub and atmosphere. Not expensive and good selection of ales.

We went for a Christmas meal. There were 5 of us and we had 5 courses each. We all were completely blown away by the quality and quantity of the food! There was so much we couldn't finish it. The staff were attentive and boxed up any food we wanted to take home, they went the extra mile all night for us. We most certainly will be coming back!!!

One of the best pubs I’ve been too since moving back couple of years ago. Food great, atmosphere great, bar staff couldn’t do enough for you. Looking forward to going again, and again and again.

Great pub ! Only moved up here at the end of January from Essex., but this is already a favourite. Popped in originally for the Sky Sports, but soon discovered the food ! Fantastic value, great selection, and all served with a smile ! The only downside to the place is that Nick, the guvnor, is a Spurs fan ! But I suppose you can’t hold that against him 😗 All in all, great place, great food, nice people.... what more could you want ? 👍

My hubby and i went today we were looking for a nice pub for lunch we were not disappointed lovely staff amazing food all round lovely people. Soo much food i was stuffed and there is a music festival from 24 august so thinking of going must be a b+b or a campsite nearby. Thank you for making us so welcome see u soon.

Great beer, food and atmosphere with a landlord who lives in a parallel universe. All in all a great pub

Brilliant night at the garden house, maybe could of done with a few extra bar staff, as a band was playing, and the pub was so busy

Lovely pub made to feel very welcome. Sunday lunch very tasty, topped off with a nice open fire which my dog appreciated after the wet walk to get there!
