Came across Café Chai by chance. Very cool interior design, kind of French farmhouse vibe. Good coffee and delicious wraps. Cake was really good too! We would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Amazing Cafe. Food is excellent. We had the Chai This which was amazing, the sausage bun was great, quiche (bacon and leek) which my 1 year loved and my scrambled egg on toast was amazing too. They have a great selection of coffees and teas.

I live in South Croydon, and Cafe Chai is my go-to spot whenever I can swing by. What I love is the consistency of Cafe Chai, as soon you walk in with in minutes a friendly member of staff is there. Plus, the coffee is absolutely delicious, and I love the food options. I think this place is a much-needed gem. I'd hang out there all day if I could, but alas, work beckons. Keep up the awesome work!

My friend and I visited this lovely little cafe randomly and my gosh it was so amazing. The staff were friendly, we had two cake slices and two teas, the cake was absolutely delicious, I had the carrot cake with was so moist and flavourful! And the tea had a beautiful presentation.
The whole cafe is such a vibe, very rustic and picture perfect!
Will love to visit again!

My favourite cafe to visit in Banstead. The vibe, food, setting are just right for all your brunching needs. I've visited here on a number of occasions, my usual go to is Chai This (which is absolutely gorgeous and delicious). But on this occasion I went for the halloumi bun. This was equally delicious, flavours balanced well and came with a little side salad. I also had an iced dirty chai latte, in my opinion this wasn't as nice as the hot dirty chai latte. (Highly recommend it) They also have a variety of cakes and bakes available with GF and vegan options.

The best place for coffee in Banstead!
The quality is consistent every time I have been, either solo, with my daughter or my wife.
The hot food is freshly cooked with care using quality ingredients. The cakes and sweet things are delicious and so obviously made with real care (the Carrot Cake gets 10 Stars! ).
The decor is very cool and the courtyard a hidden gem. But the thing that makes Chai so damn nice is the warm, friendly and totally genuine care the staff show to their customers.

What a lovely lunch we've just had!! My partner and myself have just eaten here, sitting outside in the sun watching the world.go by! The seating inside is also lovely and really nice atmosphere but the sun is out so here we are. I had the poached eggs and bacon on toasted brown bloomer which was cooked to perfection and so tasty. My partner had the Chai Tuna on Sourdough bread, tuna mixed with spring onion, garlic and mayo, also which had melted cheese wild rocket, seeds and chilli flakes!! She said its one of the nicest things she has ever eaten. We will be back next week for more and if you are in Banstead and wanting food any time you must go in and treat yourself, top eating experience👍🏻👍🏻

Pre-booked here for a lunch with a friend.
The service is brilliant, staff are busy but attentive and make you feel very welcome.
The food is super yummy. I had poached eggs which were nice on sourdough and my friend had the sweet chilli chicken wrap.
I also drank a Dirty Chai Latte and they make their own blend.
Totally recommend.

Don’t get confused with the work CHAI!!
Seems like the cafe is using work Chai is different context.
Had a lovely visit at the cafe. Very well managed and lots of seating indoors and outdoors.
Fresh bakery and lovely staff.
We all had light breakfast food and it was really lovely.
Must go!!!
Parking is the off the road.
I think Sunday is mostly free around the cafe.
Vegetarian options available.

The roasted pepper soup with sourdough and butter (not toasted - you have to ask ) and oat flat white. Coffee was perfect temperature, not burnt. Soup was excellent. Beautiful serving and very warm atmosphere. I really recommend! :) you can order at the till or wait at the table, it is table service. I paid £15 for mentioned above with a tip... :) nice price for warm, comforting food, filling enough... :) yum! 👍 💯❤️

Its a nice little place to go to if you're looking for something a bit more than a coffee shop eat.
We had the Chai That and Chai Tuna with a Dirty Chaix2 which was nice but I expected a bit more for what I was paying. But it did the job.
Atmosphere was nice, the decor was well done.
We brought our dog with us and he ok in here.
We got served 20 mins after we had been seated. Service was good, but it took a while for us to flag down someone.
Overall, nice place to go to once in a while to switch things up.

Great find! A charming cafe at the heart of Banstead serving the most amazing homemade chai tea & specialty coffee. I have not had the chance to try their breakfast and brunch menu, but I have no doubt it is excellent.
Interior design is one of the best of all the cafés I have visited in Surrey. Definitely worth a visit. Also perfect for families with kids.

Lovely breakfast place, had a really tasty meal (Chai This + poached eggs) and a delicious coffee. We sat in the courtyard which is really nice, staff were attentive & friendly and the overall experience was great.
