I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again / this place serves THE BEST coffee in Barking. Love the sandwiches too, plus the decor is beautiful. Never mind the place across the road, give this a try and you’ll never look back!

I love the chilled and unique ambience of this place. Not quite a formal drawing room, more like a very cosy and quirky sitting room. Coffee was very good. The menu is very limited. I tried to order the brie, walnut and fig toastie, which the menu recommends. However, the (very polite) girl was not sure how to make it. Bless her, she did consult her meticulous notes. I was not going to order anything, until I saw the only other customer in there order a sandwich which looked delicious. I was not disappointed with my brie and tomato toastie which came beautifully served in a bowl of fresh spinach leaves and tomato. I ate every last morsel. I would like to ask the owners, why they have such a limited menu. I would hate to see this unique and charming place close down because of the lack of customers. The food is great and the service was very good. But if I had not seen the order of the only other customer (at a busy lunchtime), I would not have placed an order myself.

I loved this place. Surrounded by books, cosy chairs, like being in a living room! Lovely relaxing music softly playing away in the background. I was rather upset when I saw it had been taking over by new management but I was glad to see they kept the books and lovely chairs. The owner of Ezo Bistro was a lovely lady who was very friendly and attentive towards all her customers and responded with love to children who came to the cafe. The rest of the staff there were also friendly. I used to love coming here on a weekend and reading my book with a coffee in my other hand! They and started introducing lots of other things on the counter as well such as honey etc and once the staff even told me about a book they were selling. Very friendly staff! They also had a lovely black piano in the shop which any person from the public could play. Sometimes whilst people waited for their coffee they would just play away. It was lovely to listen to. Was also lovely when I would take my two year old daughter and she would attempt to play her melodies on there also. I don’t think the new management keep the piano as I didn’t see it when I last went. That’s a shame! Any way the lady who run Ezo Bistro has done a great job, shame she went!

It's great as its an independent business, friendly staff, fair food on offer but great cofffe, good price. Nice and cosy even though it is in a station. Comfy seating and arm chairs, a piano if you fancy a quick tinkle and can play. Book shelves with a plethora of books got you to browse and read on site while you enjoy your visit, or I guess you can just take your own book to read, they don't hurt you to leave and they play music over a speaker although sometimes it's a bit heavy on the rega style which is not my thing but hey the test is good. Worth a visit and cuppa.

Nice environment but kind of pricey meals compared to others of the same class. It's a classy place. There chicken Caesar salad was richly amazing with its abstract nature.

Most of the Saturday I go to this coffe shop to have lunch. They have good food and coffe, great service. Last time I've ordered a dish with aubergine and eggs and they've gave me a gift, it was a small oven pan.
