I love this café and the staff that run/work there. I have lived in Barking most of my life and this is by far the best place in it. Everyone knows you by name and if they don't they will come and say hi. Super friendly for kids and dogs which is amazing. Has a sense of community with lots of community groups for people to come to. The atmosphere is friendly and family oriented. Totally feel at home there. Also the coffee and food it great!xx
What a beautiful place! It's Family Friendly Cafe with a Relaxing ambiance and over looking by the lake. As a mum this is definitely the place to chill and have coffee as they have gorgeous play area for the kids. Coffee is lovely and very affordable. Highly recommended �
I recently tried the caramel latte and iced caramel latte at The Big Friendly Coffee, and I must say, they were absolutely delightful! The caramel flavor was rich and not too sweet, and the coffee was perfectly brewed. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for coffee lovers. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

It's by a lake with an amazing view, its the perfect spot. I love coming here at all times esp in the mornings it's peaceful and calm, the staff are friendly and they work so hard. Its a family run buissness so respect to them. The shop makes a difference, for example you get some elderly people that are lonely (some I know) and they would come spend time in the place where its peaceful. 10/10
OMG, the best place for a birthday party my son ariya love it,, children enjoy a lot, no worry about rain, they provide every thing, fruit pizza drink Trampling for children very friendly staff best and respect owner, we dance we sing they have Piano to sing and play happy birthday, even you not worry what children will do, they have toys book even play grand, children love it and price believes or not cheaper than everywhere because they also a parent and cheaper than another coffee shop as I ask, and everything fresh for Muslim can have halal pizza, for non-muslim whatever you ask they provide for us, we love it and I will do more birthday in this coffee shop. Nice cafe especially for families. Toys available for children to play with. Nice space at the back of the cafe for children to sit and play. Nice variety of food available, including lunch for children. Friendly staff. This cafe also runs a phonics session for children every Monday at 10am which is a lovely group. Cafe also used to run arts and crafts classes for kids although I’m not sure if they still run it now. Other classes such as buggy walks etc are advertised there. Nice atmosphere especially for parents who have children with them.
Friendly enough service and do good drinks. Food wise it could do with a few more veggie and vegan options, but that is my bias. The people who run it are nice and very helpful.
Friendly staff, fast service, good range of food and drink for the location. Pizzas are expensive and very thin crust the only negative otherwise 5*. Ice cream looked great, nice flavours.
Great to have a cafe in Barking Park! Pizza was freshly made, I would have preferred a thicker crust. Lovely cakes!

I have been coming to the Big Friendly Coffee for a number of years now and cannot recommend it enough. The staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming, always providing the very best customer service. They always get my coffee order just right (which some other coffee shops struggle to do) and they offer a wide selection to cold drinks as well as sweet and savoury food at a reasonable price. What I like most about the Big Friendly Coffee is the family friendly nature, and they always have a great range of activities for children which always seems appreciated by parents when they come by. Overall, a great place to come and relax for a couple of hours!
