What a great place. We’ve been here quite a few times over the years. My wife and I had a lovely meal here yesterday, I had the line caught Sea Bass which was on the specials board, this was outstandingly good! Simple ingredients with a wonderful sauce and cooked to perfection. Lovely! My wife had the Welsh Lamb Cawl (Lamb & Vegetable Stew) which again was simple but super tasty. 👍😃
Had a few drinks and sat outside in the street beer garden with the dogs, which was lovely and a nice view. Plants and flowers made it feel more like a garden than a street. Interesting pub inside. Food looked nice, but we didn’t eat.
Great place with a cracking atmosphere both inside and sat out at the harbour. Definitely worth a visit , will be back !!
The first time we've been here, the atmosphere (decor wise) was great, more like a swashbuckling-come-musical nook of a place. It suited the place, and the feel was right.
The staff were courteous and friendly and made you feel welcomed. The food was hearty with a good taste and look about it. We had the cod loin and scampi (homemade), you could tell. The pieces were huge, and with it such taste.
I would recommend a visit here. You won't be disappointed.
One of my favourite pubs, everything right for me. Lighting, music, just so very chilled but was after a Bank holiday Monday so think I dropped in at the right time.
Visited while down on my holidays. By far the best meal of the trip. Food cooked and served to perfection. Very friendly staff, great priced beer. Will definitely be going back when I next visit. 10/10
Very nice, intimate and cozy pub. Partner had spicy chicken with Herbie's, I had the salmon. Food was cooked lovely. The veg and potatoes very nice. Cheesecake was light and tasty. My only moan, my cherry pie although very nice literally had 2 cherries in it. The rest was syrup/Jam.
We popped in for a drink and a snack. The service was excellent and the beer and gin was superb. Picked the fish and chips and a cheese and ham Panini. It was lovely. Would recommend a visit 😁
Sat outside across the road from the bar. Nice open area and great views in the sun. Nice arrangement outside the bar taking orders so you didn't clamber to the inside bar and have to navigate out with trays. Took orders quickly but took about 5 minutes before it turned up. There was a few in the queue with large orders though before me. The outdoor area was keep relatively clean, the staff came round cleaning up any spilled food and empty plastic glasses quite often. Notes on tables for no food to be consumed. I assume this is as they don't serve food outside and want the tables for their patrons not local F&C shops. This is at 13.30 during the Easter bank holiday so probably at its busiest and still coping without too much waiting around for drinks. £9.60 for a pint of Guinness and sweet cider. Was definitely not the cheapest drink in town (can be bought for less than £8 elsewhere) but it definitely had a more pleasent drinking environment.
Great food, friendly atmosphere, and a beautifully quirky restaurant. Loved it❤️
