The Barmouth Bar And Grill

We arrived on a Saturday evening without booking but the very friendly staff managed to find a slot for us. Great quality food without much of a wait washed down with a perfect pint of Staropramen. Really liked the vibe and decor, and would recommend the place to groups or couples. My 12 year old was with us and was made to feel very welcome - he loved his custom Halloween drink! Would visit again if we're back in Barmouth.

I came in for lunch on Friday and ordered the Barbouth Burger. The food was good, but a considering this is a bar and grill - I did feel like what should be the signature burger did let the side down. I've had a welsh beef burger several times from different establishmens, all of which the patty have been thicker. However it was a very well made burger and all the ingredients were fresh - but I was a bit disappointed given the price and name of this grill. The decor Is nice, slightly rustic and plenty of tables. I can imagine it gets busy at time. The service was good, and the wait on the food was about 15 minutes. Deffo worth a visit if your hungry.

Booked a table for 9 friends and 1 dog earlier in the afternoon and sure enough when we got there at 7.30 there was a large table reserved with my name - a nice touch. Service was very efficient and friendly, the menu had something for everyone. The food came reasonably quickly and everyone was happy with their chosen meals. Hot and delicious, good portion sizes, I had sea bass with fresh veg on crushed new potatoes with a caper sauce, very tasty. One of our party had prawn linguine which he said was very spicy but again, delicious. Once everyone finished the table was cleared efficiently and a couple of us had room for desert also didn't disappoint. We weren't rushed to leave the table and enjoyed an hour there with drinks and chat. All in all a lovely evening.
