A very good kitchen and cosy log burners in a small pub. Good wines and some local brews on tap. Just what you'd want from a village pub. Staff are young and keen so service is quick and good. Sunday roasts : beef, pork, chicken were good. Lots of choices for starters and desserts too. Bailey's ice cream was irresistible even on a snowy day. Veggie options.
An oldie worldy pub for foodies that love food cooked to perfection. No pretentious chargrilled food, just food that you can eat and want to come back for more. The staff couldn't be anymore helpful, welcoming or friendly and the pub even has its own micro brewery with wonderful real ale. Not the easiest pub to find but well worth the effort, you won't be disappointed :-)
There was a group of 7 of us that attended on a Sunday, we had Sunday lunch and it was mega!! Absolutely yummy. The service was great and all the staff were really friendly! This is a gem of a pub, a real find and we will definitely be returning. We'll done to all of the team for making it an amazing day 🙌 👏
Delicious Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere and excellent service
I don't think you we'll find a more friendly pub..the bar staff can't do enough to make your visit a fantastic experience..and they mentioned that food will be served in the new year.I would like to wise the landlord and landlady all the best for the future.... thank you guys..
The food is amazing, cooked to perfection. No pretentious char grilling, no bits of black (burnt) meat or veg. They even have their own micro brewery and the beer is lovely. Out of the kitchen, the bar staff are the stars of customer service. You would find it difficult to get anyone more friendly, welcoming and helpful. It's a lovely old pub but takes a bit of finding.
I have to say this has been our choice now for the last 4 visits with family fresh food cooked perfectly, family run pub with friendly helpful staff have taken my god parents, parents and will be having a birthday meal there. I always recommend this pub and would also suggest booking as it can get busy
Food is of good quality recommend beef on a Sunday, creme brulee for dessert and white bait or chilli prawns or garlic mushrooms. Highly recommended
Great pub. Hope it gets lots of support during its resurgence. Pretty quiet village as well.
Great little country pub, lovely and cosy cottage type feel to it serving excellent home cooked food. Wide selection of gins and even a micro brewery on site. Worth a visit
It is nice old pub situated in a pretty little village service is very good staff and friendly warm and welcoming. Food wise I had a meat pie which wasn't particularly great. But don't let this put you off visiting this establishment.Cheers Phil
The beer is good and its a cosy atmosphere. They do a quiz on a Sunday evening that is very well done and well attended. Ive not had food there so i cant comment on that.
Under new management, a real turnaround, great team there, a lovely atmosphere and pet friendly. Leave your horse outside.
