Deraliye

My girlfriend and I had business to attend to in Cockfosters and walked down the High Road and came across this delightful, classy, beautiful restaurant. On going in, we were greeted by a very helpful and pleasant waitress who took the time to explain the menu and we ordered Baked Aubergines with a gin and tonic drink and Grilled Chicken Wings with Grilled Vegetables, both dishes were tastfully presented, beautifully laid out and the food was simply delicious, plus the Sorbet Dessert the Raspberry one was simply wonderful and tasty. It was a real pleasure to sit there and eat this lovely food and the customer service was simply excellent and the manager and waitress could not do enough for us bearing in mind I have allergies to milk and egg. We will definitely go and eat and frequent this restaurant again. The upholstery and mosaics on the wall were simply breathtaking and gave a real touch of class and history to the place. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a taste and penchant for comfortable surroundings, tasty food, excellent customer service and a lovely and beautifully decorated restaurant. The restaurant had a very ambient atmosphere and the interior decor was pleasing to the eye. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful (would make suitable menu recommendations). The food was delicious and served on time. We had the lamb chops, which was perfectly cooked (aromatic and tender). Starter menu was also delicious: prawns were flavoursome and the sausage was perfectly spiced. Overall, a very good dining experience.

A quick dinner turned into a lovely surprise. We sat down at this Turkish restaurant, expecting standard quality food. To our big surprise the food was above the average for this kind of venue. The interior is grand and wonderful, something that doesn’t always translate to great tasting food. Not at Deraliye. The food was superb. Adana kebab, lamb shish, calamari, hummus and all the rest of our food was very delicious. I have 2 suggestions to the management, though. Less potatoes in the octopus salad and add Künefe to the dessert menu. I was very happy with this gem of a Turkish restaurant. Noted down in my “to be repeated” list. Obviously, highly recommended.
