If you get Lenny, then you get good beer! The beer, as in proper beer and not the fizzy yellow stuff! Is now excellent! If real ale is your thing, then it’s well worth a visit!

Lovley old fashioned pub in middle of high barnet ,foods expensive but apparently nice ,took my dad here for few pints,friendly staff and a. nice mixed crowd of regulars, defo recommended,it seems the mitre is t as lovley as it once was ,enjoy !!

Great food, friendly staff who were polite and professional despite being short staffed and under pressure, caused a wait for the food, but when it arrived it was thoroughly enjoyable and worth it. Will have no hesitation in recommending or returning.

Based on my experience, the service was 100%. The food, 3 Sunday roasts, was lovely. The desserts were just as good. We will be returning.

The Black Horse benefits from being in a nice setting nearby to High Barnet, but just a bit outside the main town.
It is a lovely old building and the outside area is very big and catches the sun nicely of an afternoon/evening. The food looked great too, although I didn’t sample any.
Only criticism would that the keg beers weren’t very exciting. Perhaps one to consider improving. Other than that was a very pleasant visit.

My favourite spot to visit to relax or work from on my laptop (great wifi ☺️) - Staff are polite, friendly, professional & service always comes with a smile. The Pub has come on leaps and bounds since it's been under new management - the whole place is looking great, particularly their pretty garden and there is something for everyone; from live jazz, DJ nights to quiz night, sport events & Happy Hour (Cocktails on tap? Yes please!).
Their mouth-watering menu never disappoints with a diverse offering to suit all - Sunday roast with a HUGE Yorkshire pud, delish! When celebrating a birthday, the staff kindly brought out a cake (upon request) and made the whole event so wonderful - Overall 10/10 on all accounts - thank you to all of the staff and lovely locals for creating a warm, welcoming home from home - well worth mentioning my dog is as satisfied a customer as I am! Well done guys, keep up the hard work 🥰

If you're after a vibe while soaking up the sun in the garden....kicking it back with a live DJ while munching a pizza from the stove.
