Hadley House Restaurant And Bar

I hosted my 30th birthday here and they were so friendly and helpful! They have a new outdoor patio area with open plan seating and it was perfect for a large party! We all had a great night.. drinks were flowing and food was good! Would definitely recommend this place for celebrations! There’s a dj too on the weekends.

Went for a meal for four with my wife and two children this evening and very pleasantly surprised by the food. Good choice on the menu, we ordered beef bourguinon, a margherita pizza, haddock and chunk chips, and a ravioli dish. Food was well prepared and tasty. Followed this with a couple of scoops of sorbet for dessert, and chocolate brownie with ice cream. All in, including two glasses of wine and a pint of Moretti, it came to £87 including good service. Would definitely return and recommend this to all.

We came on a day where the venue was booked out for a party, but they still offered for us to eat outside in their garden. They put on the heaters, gave us blankets, and treated us so kindly. They really went out of their way to make sure we had an enjoyable meal out, and the food was fantastic (my Grandparents said it was one of the best steaks they'd had in years). It's rare that everyone at our table gets dessert, but we enjoyed every mouthful. The staff really made the experience so memorable, and I can't wait to bring more friends and family in the future.

We went for Sunday lunch - the food was absolutely brilliant, very tasty roast (slightly odd choice to have two huge mounds of different cabbage as the main veg, but both done well) - however I've marked down a star as the ambience definitely left something to be desired - we arrived at 1pm on easter Sunday and for a while were the only occupied table (we definitely hadn't needed to worry about not finding parking!). The music was club-like, definitely not your normal Sunday lunch music, and the signs outside were all advertising the club nights. In addition, there were still some sad Christmas decorations hanging. I suspect the music and advertising is putting people off coming here for lunches - which is a shame as the food is excellent. I would also like to see a few more non alcoholic drinks - there are a couple of great mocktails but no other non alcoholic ciders or spirits which I would appreciate. To summarize - I would absolutely recommend here for the food, but would suggest there's a few things that could be done by management to make this a more welcoming place for Sunday lunches!
