Great restaurant within the grounds of Cannon Hall. Very good food although not an extensive menu but a decent choice nonetheless
Very good table service by polite and competent staff.
A rustic/shabby chic feel to the place but very clean.
Plenty of tables but it does get busy so booking a table could be an advantage.
Good selection of drinks.
Plenty of car parking
Clean toilets.
A good experience overall one which we will repeat.
Can recommend.
On a day out to the farm we visited the White Bull for lunch, which was by far more favourable than eating in the restaurant at the soft play. Wasn't overly sure what to expect but was actually surprised on quality not meal. I had the farmer Robert burger with Yorkshire Blue cheese, and itvwas actually very nice. One of the group also had the beef stew in a Yorkshire pudding which equally looked quite nice! We were all satisfied with our meal.
I did think that the kids meals at £5+ was a little expensive, it really was a kids portion and would have been nice if it had come with some sort of drink.
Restaurant was clean and they were manging to tidy tables fairly quickly.
Visited on a busy sunny Monday in the school holidays. 2 adults, 2 teens. We had a lovely meal, well organised with friendly and helpful staff. Clean throughout. No complaints at all. There is a range of prices from sandwiches and children’s meals to a decent adult meal.
Ordering is done at the servery with food brought to the table. You don’t need a ticket for the farm to enjoy a meal here.
Great food, great atmosphere and a lovely place to eat. Highly recommended for families. Can't wait to return!
Lasagne, veg Lasagne, and scampi were some of the best main meals we have had eating out in a long time. Definitely recommend 👌
Wowsers - what a burger! The Farmer Robert with cheddar was delicious. Others had scampi, a Panini, a chicken burger, and toad in the hole, and all loved them. Washed down with a beer or soft drinks. Not the cheapest, but fantastic quality and most of the food sourced from Canon Hall Farm. Simply find a table, order at the counter, and they bring the for too you. Prompt service when we visited at the weekend.
Visited for lunch today, you can easily get a pram in here and it’s very kid friendly which is great. The toilets are pretty dirty though, and it’s a bit annoying that you have to pay for parking when you are going to spend like £25+ in the cafe. Prices are quite a bit higher than other cafes but the food is nice.
First time dining here although had been using farm shop many years had friends over for a visit from Sussex who followed the T V programme we were all very impressed with everything the meals were great service and waitresses could not have been better
A perfect experience we will be back.
Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Generous portions and everything was very tasty. Only negative is trying to find the place - would benefit from a bit more obvious signage for The White Bull. Will definitely be back.
When today still a friendly and warm restaurant even with covid theirs plenty of room although I can't remember if the table was social distance like the other places have been to, but I didn't care about that, I got the catch of the day. It came with chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce it was delicious and is a definite will have again dishes. Price was reasonable to say it is a farm restaurant; we had three meals, two large dispensing drinks and a coffee came to about the £38 mark. The staff are friendly, which is always a bonus.
