I've been going to these tea rooms for many years. Never had a problem with food, It's always been fresh and tasty. Reasonably priced. All their food is eatable unless you're a consistent complainer!

Lovely little place, very busy nothing was too much trouble, afternoon tea was delicious with sandwiches, scones and a selection of cakes beautifully presented!
Excellent tearoom friendly staff, great food decent size portions too, big selection of coffees.
Cakes are the best too all homemade.
Only downside is it's only cash payments.

Victorian Tea Rooms has a lovely atmosphere. Helpful and friendly staff with excellent food every time. Great place for people alone as you don't feel an oddbod. More tables upstairs and a lovely clean cloakroom.
Went for afternoon tea today with my husband, the food itself was beautiful, and served by friendly staff. I've given 4 stars and not 5 because apart from hand sanitizer on the table and track & trace I couldn't see any other covid precautions in place.
I would go back but after the pandemic is over

Just had afternoon tea with my granddaughter.As usual a fantastic array of food and such high quality ! The staff are extremely pleasant and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.We both had a great time - thank you.
Went for lunch today had steak pie dinner ,would certainly recommend lovely lean steak and great pastry
Found this little gem by accident with my mum....had an afternoon tea...lovely fresh sandwiches...beautiful smooth coffee...soft fresh scone...and a slice of cake which I took home...fantastic value for money. Will deffinatley call again.

Lovley and very big fillings in sandwich fillings and jacket taties I orderd salmon and there was a full tin! X
Very pretty cafe in the Victorian Arcade in Barnsley. Not cheap but lovely food.
