Marwood Hill Gardens is really the place to visit. We had a lovely day, beautiful gardens not to be missed if you are in the area. If you enjoy walking, this is for you, there are lot's of dams with lots of fish in them. Suitable for wheelchairs or buggy users, if you enjoy walking up hills, this is for you. Big tea-room, you can sit outside or inside serving a variety of cakes, light meals, hot & cold drinks. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Disabled toilet and accessible entrance. Big tables airy, spacious and clean environment well maintained at high spec. We'll certainly come again. We highly recommend everyone.

It was perfect day to visit here. It was beautiful to see all the plants, trees, birds, lakes - very tranquil. The sounds of the birds were delightful. We saw kids enjoying a 'treasure' trail, in looking for signs about various plants and trees and mark them off and they took it back to the cafe and received a cup cake. We enjoyed the traditional Devon cream scones at the cafe. The entrance cost was £9.50, but considering the variety of fauna and flora and the way everything is laid out, with the little lakes, and the upkeep, it was well worth it.

A beautiful gardens with so much to see. You can follow the footpaths or you can go off and explore these beautiful gardens. When you have had enough you can take a break and get some nice food and drink from the tea rooms before checking out some of the fantastic flower varieties in the walled garden plant sales.

Loved visiting here! Not much point in the walk up the hill to the left of the lakes so if you have trouble walking you wont miss too much as just a circular path through a very steep shrubby area. I did however enjoy the rest of the gardens, there were plenty of seats if needed too, feeding the fish was great! Next time i shall have a cream tea didnt have time this time . I think if the shop was expanded, asking local people to create the garden themed items, t towels, post cards, mugs, fudge that sort of thing, Maybe move the shop into some of the plant area. I think your missing out on revenue here and i love a souvenir!!

Always a pleasure! Such lovely gardens at any time of year, always something different to see. Loved the poppies, irises and candelabra primula today. Cream tea at the cafe pretty good too!

This is a lovely garden set in a valley with 3 lakes. The astible collection was just coming out and will look gorgeous in a few days time. The cakes in the cafe are gorgeous. Definitely try the ginger cream tea or the chocolate cream tea if you fancy something different. All the volunteers in the restaurant and garden were lovely.

Happily surprised by this beautiful garden. I was a bit worried about visiting in autumn but there was still plenty of colour to enjoy, as well as scents - with the katsura tree dropping sugar-scented leaves. I was thrilled to find a red-leaved tree around one of the large ponds and even more so when we were able to watch mirror, common and ghost carp coming to the surface alongside Canadian geese. I mean you get the idea, this is a tranquil place. The paths are hilly so perhaps not suitable for all but we didn't find them overly steep. It's a valley garden with ponds and marshland in the middle but such a description doesn't really do it justice. Parking is easy enough, at the top and you walk down past the old houses to the entrance. There is a tea room with a lovely view of the gardens. The options were a bit slim for us as we were hoping to have lunch there but we're not fans of quiche or pea soup. There was a good selection of cakes however and cream tea on the menu so that's a win! There are lots of benches throughout the grounds so you could always bring your own should you feel the need but the peace and shelter of the tea room was alluring 🙂 All in all a lovely place x

This garden is absolutely gorgeous 😍 you can have as long or short a walk as you like in beautiful surroundings and the gardens are not too manicured or formal which I really like
