Absolutely love this place, as someone who is dairy and soya free because or having a baby with allergies, it is fantastic to have somewhere local that caters to that. All the staff are knowledgeable on the allergens in their food, which unfortunately can't be said for most other cafés. The food is always delicious and the cakes are just divine! Also nice to he able to have a dairy and soya free milkshake too 😋 Staff are always welcoming and so accommodating, always going above and beyond.

This place is a real gem for coeliacs and their loved ones. Eating in a place where everything is safe and nothing will make you poorly brings a wonderful sense of freedom. Thank you for the best lunch I've had in years and a truly delicious black forest cake. HIGHLY recommend ❤
EDIT: it has been over a year since I discovered Charlie's, and I've been for my cake fix about once a fortnight ever since!

Absolutely love Charlie’s, every time I come down to see my parents in Devon it is a must visit to pick up some gluten free snacks.
Best Gluten free cafe I’ve been too!

I came here with my nan while visiting her this summer. The food is amazing, they do everything gluten free and all the cakes ate gluten free and vegan. Which is great for me being lactose intollerant.
They are warm and welcoming and the food is so delicious

Gorgeous cakes, pancakes, coffees. Went with our daughter who can't have gluten and we bought some cakes to take away as well as eating in. The staff were lovely too.

We arrived just as they were closing and the staff were so lovely letting us have a quick nosey as we were on holiday in the area. I am gluten free and vegan and my daughter has a milk and egg allergy. The selection of cake was lovely and tasted really good too. Thank you so much. I will never forget how kind you were and how yummy the cake was 🥰

Amazing Vegan selection for brunch, coffee and cake. We had the full Vegan Breakfast, Oat Cappuccino and a couple of cakes to home with us. All their cakes are homemade, gluten free and Vegan - perfect for everyone to enjoy - delicious.
The service was quick and very friendly, good atmosphere.
The only downside personally for us is that they do not allow dogs, and we have our dog with us most of the time, but on this visit he was not with us, so we took the opportunity to enjoy this fantastic café - highly recommended.
