What a lovely little shop and café in the village of Barr. Indoor and outdoor seating. Freshly made cakes and scones, with superb coffee. An ideal stop for us cyclists when peddling around the Ayrshire Alps (and a great place to stop even if you're not cycling!) Chapeau to the staff and the community for such a valuable asset in the village.

Wee store with a cafe attached... Great food and crafty things to buy... just don't turn up in a rush dxpecting lightening service... the volunteers that run it do the very best that they can do.

It was a wonderful place to visit. They were very friendly and accommodating. The wheelchair accessibility was good, They allowed my under age puppy in who was in his portable dog crate. The food was excellent just what we needed before going on to Glenn Trool🥰

After a wee hillwalk yesterday. we thoroughly enjoyed hot filled rolls (b&e in mine, TWO slices of sq sausage in Brian's ) then tea and coffee served by the lovely Anne (with an 'E') in the cafe section of the Community Shop. I recommend anyone to pop in for their messages and a snack to support the village store. Lovely baking too.

We stayed in the village close to the store, it came in very handy when needed a few bits. The children bought there sweets there. It was great to see such great community spirit.

A group of walkers from Newton Stewart Walking Festival arrived and were made most welcome. The cafe stayed open and provided tea, coffee, cakes and ice creams, all served by cheerful and friendly staff during what was to become an extended stay because of transport problems on the roads. We will put this venue on our programme again.
