Love the food here, staff are very friendly and one of the best pubs to have a pub lunch in Barry. Highly recommend the place ;) Awesome!
Lovely place lovely staff definitely a 5 star well worth a visit
We came here as part of a group tour and the food was very generous is size and tasty. The sticky toffee pudding was very light in texture and delicious. The cider we had was very refreshing and easy to drink.
Fantastic visit to Cwm Talwg this evening, from the moment we entered till the moment we left the service was fantastic! All the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, great knowledge of the food and drinks menu too and table service (which seems to be very rare these days).
The food and drinks were great, as well as reasonably well priced, and I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
The overall atmosphere and experience was lovely, a family friendly pub that is quiet and great for all ages. We really enjoyed our meal here, and will certainly be visiting again! Thank you for a great visit!
Excellent service from start to finish. Despite the pub being fairly busy, the staff were attentive and courteous. Did not wait long for food and as always was cooked to a high standard. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming team and wonderful people!!
It was better now that the previous landlord has finished. We haven't been there in about 4 years due to the food quality and quantity provided by the previous landlord. Great service and lovely food. Martin, the assistant manager, is running a good team. Very helpful and enjoyable. The food was poor tonight and not enjoyable at all. Better quality food this time around and very good service. Enjoyed our evening and the food was very good.
Food is always lovely. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Aways a good visit! The one thing I was a little disappointed with was that I asked if a bottle of wine and a little note could be left on the table for when we arrived as it was a Birthday celebration. This wasnt done and no message/call/email to say that it couldn't be done either. I think the request was just simply ignored. That was a shame.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted and shown respect the staff could not do enough for us. KAT, Zara, Tom, Josh & Luke made sure our meal was enjoyed with the food being an excellent standard. Would recommend to everyone to visit this friendly professional establishment.
Joe was very helpful and a great host. He was clear with items unavailable so we could look at the menu and know what we wanted would be available. He kept the drinks topped up and noticed when we were coming to the bottom and needed a refill. Even though 2 big parties were in or due in we did not feel like we were not a priority. Thank you.
Had a steak, perfectly cooked. Josh and James thank you very much. Mrs enjoyed her pie and chips. Staff serving were friendly and attentive. Will return soon
We went for my husband’s birthday. We usually go for celebrations as we know we will always be looked after and get good food. The staff are always so lovely and can’t do enough for you.
I made a booking online and although the mistake of not having a table at first the staff were quick to sort the issues! The staff who were helping were polite and amazing considering there was a 90th the other above but thank you to you guys for beginning my daughters 16th celebrations and making as special as you could !
