Food is always lovely. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Aways a good visit! The one thing I was a little disappointed with was that I asked if a bottle of wine and a little note could be left on the table for when we arrived as it was a Birthday celebration. This wasnt done and no message/call/email to say that it couldn't be done either. I think the request was just simply ignored. That was a shame.

I made a booking online and although the mistake of not having a table at first the staff were quick to sort the issues! The staff who were helping were polite and amazing considering there was a 90th the other above but thank you to you guys for beginning my daughters 16th celebrations and making as special as you could !

Fantastic visit to Cwm Talwg this evening, from the moment we entered till the moment we left the service was fantastic! All the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble, great knowledge of the food and drinks menu too and table service (which seems to be very rare these days). The food and drinks were great, as well as reasonably well priced, and I would definitely recommend to friends and family. The overall atmosphere and experience was lovely, a family friendly pub that is quiet and great for all ages. We really enjoyed our meal here, and will certainly be visiting again! Thank you for a great visit!

It was better now that the previous landlord has finished. We haven't been there in about 4 years due to the food quality and quantity provided by the previous landlord. Great service and lovely food. Martin, the assistant manager, is running a good team. Very helpful and enjoyable. The food was poor tonight and not enjoyable at all. Better quality food this time around and very good service. Enjoyed our evening and the food was very good.

"Gastro Pubs" have a lot to learn from the Cwm Talwg. Superb food! Chips that you could actually crunch and weren't dripping in oil, very obvious that pride is taken in what is being cooked obviously using fresh oil and it being at the correct temperature!! I know as I come from a family of Chefs! Friendly, polite, attentive staff that are not over bearing or intrusive. A dog friendly pub with excellent clean facilities and a wonderful spacious atmosphere. When ever we are visiting my Dad in Rhoose, we will be back as we regard the Cwm Talwg as our new local. Thank you Kat for being an excellent host and good fun, Liam, well done on the deserved success of your pub and eatery, and finally to Tom the Chef, excellent, just excellent.
