An absolutely lovely place to eat. Really well done where it has an old sea shack vibe, but with none of the dinginess and still feeling fresh and clean. All staff were absolutely lovely and the food was amazing. I'd highly recommend, and book ahead if you can! We got there early so got a table, but it filled up quite quickly (and even so, service was still amazing!)

Me and my girlfriend was recommended this place by her mother. We went there for an afternoon sitting. We went for the 2 courses for £16 wich looking at the food whilst waiting that was leaving the kitchen was amazing value for the money 👌🏻On arrival I didn't know what to expect. The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff were fantastic ! It was very relaxed and cosy environment. Although we originally went for the offer for 2 courses for £16 as soon as I saw the sea food platter that what I was having 😍 muscles , king prawns , scallops and lobster with a garlic sauce 🤤. My girlfriend had the cod in a herb crust and tasted amazing 😋 both dishes came with an option of chips or boiled potatoes. The food that we had was probably one of best seafood dishes we've had. The surrounding area is stunning too, nice lake and situated on ghe sea front of cold nap Beach. I will certainly be going back for more !!!

My partner & I have just had the most amazing meal at Mr Villa’s. The experience was top class from the moment we walked through the door. We didn’t book a table we just walked in. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who, after a chat with the chef and a little bit of juggling around with the tables,, we had a table for two. The service was excellent. I had the baked hake and my partner had the sea food dish. Both were cooked to perfection. We walked in as strangers and left feeling like we had made a few new friends. If you haven’t been and are looking for quite a unique experience with fabulous food, it’s the place to go. Note: book first! 👍🏻

Brilliant fish in a very relaxed environment with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Huge menu with some unusual items, but all cooked to perfection. I had the hake this evening, and it was superb! If I had a negative, it would be very minor and it’s that they don’t serve a non-alcoholic beer. Sparkling water instead! :)

We dined for lunch after a friends father, who lives locally, recommended for us. How fantastic. The restaurant is quirky and perfectly decked out as a sea shack. The lady, whose name I sadly forget, looked after us brilliantly - as did the young lad waiter. She constantly ensured everyone was happy. We had the sea food platter and it was beautiful. My partner loves fish - me, not so much. However, we both thoroughly enjoyed the food and the bread was delicious. The restaurant is located in a quiet and beautiful part of Barry with a lovely park and old Lido just over the road. The beach 100m away. Perfect for a walk after a delicious lunch. We will be going back. Thank you Family Villa. 😋😋😋. 10/10.

Went here after reading reviews. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We hadn't booked, but they made every effort to give us a table. This is a great place to eat, but not cheap. Highly recommended.

First visit today and absolutely loved it. Cockles and Laverbread were delicious. The battered Hake with mushy peas and chips was superb. Perfectly thin crispy batter on the fish! Loved the homemade tartare sauce. Desserts also delicious Highly recommended

A little wait outside as our table wasn't ready, but we ordered drinks while waiting. Service by all the young girls was excellent. The owner is always around being welcoming and watching making sure guests are happy. Starters,, mains and dessert were great, mains I thought were a fraction more costly which is why I didn't score this place a 5.
