Booked here for a Christmas meal for 20 adults and 2 children. But on the day 8 had to cancel because of the bad snow in the Rhymney valley and Hereford. But I was refunded the money paid for them no problem which the manager didn’t have to do. The meals were all excellent and very reasonable priced starters mains and deserts all staff are friendly and helpful we all had a great time I had deep fried Brie a lovely turkey dinner with plenty of veg and Christmas pudding for dessert a fantastic pub always a pleasure to go the can’t recommend it too much

Food here is soooo nice & the staff are absolutely lovely 😊 I meet the girls here every so often, every visit is always a pleasure thanks all!! Compliments to the chef your fish & chips is the best 👌 Dessert was good too 🤎

We held our late Mothers wake at the pub. The staff were very accommodating and the buffet was extremely good and very good value for money. Management came to ensure that everything went smoothly, and everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you for making the day as memorable as it could be, and allowing us space in the pub. Thank you Charlotte and all the staff for your efforts.

Well what can I say! The place has been turned around the manager can’t do enough for anyone & the staff go above and beyond for everyone too! Food is delicious, presented well and the plates are always hot! Will definitely be returning☺️

Went on a Tuesday afternoon - sun shining in Barry. Amazing service from Sarah, Martin and Jan. Super good food, and a lovely trip out - would definitely recommend :)

The pub seems to be under new management. A lovely couple who introduced themselves and could not do enough for us. Compliments to the chef for catering to such a large group. An enjoyable evening and would definitely recommend.

What a lovely evening! We booked a family meal for 16 as it was my daughters birthday. Because of the large number of us eating we pre ordered our food the day before. Ten minutes after arriving all our meals were ready. A variety of different meals across the menu were served hot, well presented and delicious! The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. Thankyou for a lovely evening!

Had a fab time here. Ate a great yummy meal before watching the six nations defeat. Friends brought a 6 pint pitcher for £20 bargain. Great day. No pictures of my food, sorry. It was very tasty though yum yum Can't go wrong visiting here.

Drinks are quite expensive but the DJ made for a good night once it picked up a little bit. Nice addition go the weekend away with a sing song
