Moved to Barry in March have tried most of the Chinese takeaways on the food apps. Just eat/food hub etc. Then I thought I would try Lucky Chef last weekend. Delivery was quick. The driver was nice and friendly. We ordered Beef curry, pork rice, salt and pepper chicken. It was so delicious and hot. The curry sauce was the best I've ever had. I ordered again this evening and the curry sauce was even better than last week. Sweet, bit spicy and nice and thick but not too thick. Other curry sauces I've had from several takeaways taste like the stuff you get in packets where you just add water and it has no flavor. So it puts me off ordering again as I will always order a curry. Best tasting curry I've ever had. The lady who took my order on both occasions was very lovely aswell and thanks for the little freebies you gave me too. See you next week
Great food.
The best Chinese in Barry. The most tender and flavour packed salt and pepper ribs. Curry and egg fried rice is amazing here. The satay chicken on skewers is great. Vermicelli Singapore noodles are often great.
Fair play had an outstanding meal tonight used to deliver for Tina years ago never tried the menu I’ve never enjoyed such flavour from a takeaway 5star highly recommended 👌
The employee on the phone that takes the orders is always friendly, accommodating and so efficient. Delivery people are also great. It's no trouble for the cooks to not put soy sauce in our dishes because of a wheat/gluten intolerance.
This food was absolutely gorgeous and it was my first time trying them , highly recommend and really lovely driver xxx

This is certainly one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve been to in quite a while.
We ordered chicken curry, pepper salt & garlic chicken, beef with mushrooms, egg fried rice, chips and prawn crackers.
The lady that served us was quite friendly and efficient, and the food was ready in about 10 minutes.
Even though we took about 5 minutes to travel home all the food was really hot when we dished it up.
Food tasted really good.
They do not accept any card payments and there is a step to get into the restaurant so is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair or if you are unable to negotiate a steep step.
Prices are about average, and with a bottle of coke it came to £25
Would I go there again? Definitely.
Just a great little Chinese. Always on time, even though they are busy. Food lovely and good value. Tried many Chinese takeaways over the years, couldn't think of a better one
