Little Barwick House

Absolutely EXCEPTIONAL! Went for a meal here for my 30th, it was a lovely surprise. I have never eaten such incredible food. The house itself is stunning, I love that you sit in a beautifully decorated cosy living room for wine, the Malbec was divine. They came out with fantastic nibbles and the menu was full of so many local and brilliant dishes it was hard to choose!! I wanted all of it! The staff were so polite, lovely and superb hosts. I cannot wait to return!

What a fabulous stay. We spent three nights here and were really looked after. The service was exceptional, the rooms were delightful, the food was delicious and a really well thought through wine list. All in the most delightful setting. Thank you so much. Lovely walks from the house and Emma was incredibly helpful.

Look at all those glorious shades of green! Little Barwick House is a little piece of bliss - like staying with friends who happen to live in a semi-hidden English manor house with a great lawn. Said friends also cook stunningly perfect 3-course French dinners, ply you with great wines, and expect you to lounge about doing absolutely nothing. BLISS.

We had the perfect lunch at Little Barwick House. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the service was impeccable, warm and friendly. We had drinks outside in the lovely grounds, then the best lunch we have ever had in the UK, and definitely makes our top 4 in the World. Every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious - perfection on a plate. Accompanied by fine House wine. We opted for puddings, but it was hard to turn down the cheese board which had the ‘Wow’ factor, I have never seen a better selection of cheeses. This was such a memorable meal, thank you Little Barwick House.

Little Barwick House is wonderful; peacefully situated in the heart of the Somerset countryside, it exudes old-world charm and comfort. The bedrooms are luxurious, the service impeccable and the food sublime. It is one of our favourite places ever - perfect for special celebrations or just for a treat. We can't recommend it too highly.

My husband and I had an amazing three course dinner here tonight. It was our first dinner out together since having our baby while my brother and sister in law looked after our little one. The owner was fantastic, the chef creates the most amazing and exquisite food and the service was second to none.

Enjoyed a perfect weekend at Little Barwick House. Emma was a wonderful host, providing a warm welcome and ensuring we had everything we could possibly need. Our rooms were superb, comfortable and luxurious without being contrived in any way. Supper was just wonderful and without fault, exactly what it said on the tin. I couldn't recommend it more.

Stayed a night and had a meal and breakfast. Room and hotel were lovely with reasonably good facilities in the room. Evening meal was superb. Well cooked with a good choice. Cheese board was among the best I have had. I would recommend a meal here and will go again. Breakfast good with a good choice of cereals and fruit and hot food cooked to order. Very cheerful hostess.
