Late Birthday treat from our friends.
This was our first visit to this branch.
Ample parking. But the entrance seems to be at the wrong end of the building.
That aside, we had a warm welcome at the bar where we had a drink before being shown to our table.
We were treated to the best steak I have ever had. The sharing 30 day aged Cote De Boeuf 28oz was sensational.
We also had a starter and pudding but they pale into significance compared to the mains.
We would definitely recommend. Only downside was the men’s toilets were quite dirty and both entrance doors were filthy where they are pushed open. That is a pet hate of mine. But these ones were particularly filthy.
But everything else was awesome.
Lots of parking which is good. But dark with no lighting in car park at night. Does not have signs for exit in the car park.
Staff are friendly and always with a smile. Could do with a few extra staff, as service charge was added on the bill off over £300 for 8 of us.
Food is very nice and well presented. Very impressed with the 16oZ rib eye steak, perfected cook.
My wife and I visited Miller and Carter Langdon Hills Basildon.
I asked to move tables twice as I don't like the small tables I didn't feel comfortable. The staff dealt with my request promptly which I can imagine might be frustrating for them.
The food was great starters and main the drinks were really nice, great cocktails. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were polite and friendly especially Michael he took good care of us and came across as very friendly and helpful.
I had my steak well done and they happily accommodated my request.
I would give Michael 5 stars for his service and definitely recommend this venue to friends and family.
Our evening started with a very friendly face who led us to our table. Then we met Grace who did not only have a lovely smile but was absolutely brilliant. She was so kind and helpful.
The food was delicious and the steak was well cooked. Even the kids enjoyed their meals.
Best part was the sticky toffee pudding in my opinion.
Booked a table for four to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Was promptly shown to our table on arrival with a welcoming smile. Alison looked after us during the meal, and she made us feel very special having been told it was our anniversary. My wife and I chose the surf n turf steak with lobster tail, I must say the quality and care taken in producing this dish was just amazing, expensive I know but was a special occasion. I highly recommend it. Towards the end of our visit Alison presented us with a large oval plate with the words ‘Happy anniversary’ together with strawberries and ice cream, we hadn’t ordered this, it was an amazing surprise that brought much delight to us all. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening, the quality of the food was outstanding, the quality of service absolutely brilliant, can’t wait to visit again. Thank you Alison and thanks also to the chef and other staff members. Awesome evening. Highly recommended.
Came in for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Our server Tracy was perfect. The food was absolutely beautiful, the beef dripping sauce in particular was amazing! I even got a happy birthday message on my dessert which was a lovely touch.
Only slight downside for the atmosphere was the table next to us was 3 lads and they were watching a football match on full blast on their phone and no one said anything to them to turn it down or use headphones. Also the garlic mushrooms were a bit slimy so wouldn't get them again 😅
Booked for 8:15pm, arrived 5 minutes early and was seated immediately. Our server was with us shortly after for drinks, and then took our food order when the drinks arrived. The food was amazing with our table having burgers, steak and one of the chicken options. I had the dirty burger which was a very filling burger. The side of fries were perfectly cooked. The onion loaf was a real treat. We then ordered dessert and I went for the white chocolate mango sorbet with a strawberry compote. The dish was really presented well and tasted amazing. Highly recommend M&C. At £32 approx per person was very well priced.
What can i say. I came here with my boyfriend and the food was amazing 🤩. Steak cooked perfectly and was quickly bought out. Our waitress i believe her name was grace, was outstanding at her job, very proffessional, welcoming and on the ball. I would say the best waitress we have ever had by far, she really helped to give the restaurant a lovely atmosphere. She really helped to make our night amazing, we couldn’t fault one thing about anything. Definitely come here it’s lovely 🥩 🍴 😋
It was a lovely, enjoyable evening.The prices seemed overpriced until the food turned up. I must say probably the best steak I have tasted and the lobster tails just melt in the mouth.Staff was very professional and friendly.Not my first visit and will not be my last well done Miller and Carter.......
We had our first wedding anniversary dinner there yesterday,what a lovely restaurant,kind service (Tracey) and delicious food. We came in for first time,definetelly will be coming back more. Plus the surrounding of the Langdon hills is charming! Worth visiting 100 %.
